Fur Coat - B
Tracklist
A) Immersion
B) Inner Circle
Infotext
It was 2016 when we last saw the Venezuelan duo, better known as Fur Coat, drop their debut 'Interstellar' EP on
Watergate Records and now they finally return with their follow up, the 'Immersion' EP.
"Immersion" kicks off with an agile kick drum setting the stage for rapid fire percussion and an overwhelmingly satisfying ascending organ line that could be the trademark of any sci-fi film score. Add a few shudders of glimmering atmospherics and it's a trek into the cosmic realm of Techno where space and time cease to exist.
Flipping sides the duo dive deeper into the infinite expanse with "Inner Circle" where lush textures canvas a mesmerizing groove and hypnotic spirals of gratifying repetitive sonics resulting in a fiercely energetic yet undeniably euphoric expedition under the club lights. Embracing the tools and mechanics that have made their sound unique and successful for so long,
Fur Coat seems to have delivered their most mature and polished EP to date with their 'Immersion' EP where stunning spacial details and a precise attention to detail have embodied the age old saying, "less is more". Fur Coat is back. Immerse yourself.

Fur Coat return to Crosstown Rebels - the label that launched and empowered them to grow into the major techno force we know today, with their ’Numbers EP, featuring a remix from US native Vin Sol. This is music that keeps you guessing. Initially it appears dark and forceful, and suddenly a sound appears that results in a smile, a warm feeling that only the highest level of production can deliver. Fur Coat’s schedule is unrelenting. The last couple of months involving a standout set at DGTL Festival, releasing on Watergate Records, remixing Nicole Moudaber & Skin on Mood Records, combined with numerous festival appearances over the Summer. Resident of the popular night Club Lonely in San Francisco, Vin Sol, founded an imprint with the same title earlier this year. A self confessed lover of the drum machine and regularly collaborating with Matrixxman, Sol has previously released on Soo Wavey, Clone Jack for Daze and Delft among others.

Back onboard the Crosstown Rebels mothership with some serious dancefloor business, Venezuelan duo Fur Coat deliver three of their most accomplished tracks to date with the ‘Berlin Chronicles EP’. This three track of dancefloor dynamite features the momentous ‘Pankow’ on the A Side, a fitting techno tribute to the borough of Berlin. On the flip and we ascend into the heavens with the inspiring ‘Banhof” and finally we follow up with the magnificent ‘Seven’. Hard working and passionate, Fur Coat have had a string of successful releases since they first came onto the scene on the likes of Hot Creations, Bpitch Control and of course Crosstown Rebels. Making their first appearance on the label, Venezuelan deep house masters Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine aka Fur Coat are the next to release on the mighty Hot Creations. Title track 'There's No Time' sees the darker side of the talented duo for an epic experience on the dance floor with deep growling basslines complemented with powerful electronic keys and dramatic builds. On the B-side Hot Creations favourite wAFF delivers a stellar and storming 'Warehouse Remix' picking up the pace with added vocals and percussion, packed with all the sonic energy we have come to expect from the young producer. Last up the Fur Coat duo deliver another golden original. 'Together' takes it deeper once again with a rumbling bassline and hypnotic synths and keys flowing through the layers to stimulate the senses. Fur Coat previously remixed Russ Yallop's 'The Crossroads' followed by their debut EP 'Space Ballad', featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. However it would be their release 'You and I' featuring vocals from Cari Golden that would put the name Fur Coat on the map. At the end of 2012 they released their huge debut album 'Mind Over Matter' on Crosstown Rebels, with further ventures on labels such as Bpitch, Rebellion, Southern Fried Records, Noir, Get Physical and My Favorite Robot. wAFF has rapidly gone strength to strength in the past few years after being taken under the wing of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed. First coming to everyone's attention with the huge 'Jo Johnson' EP, wAFF has gone on to acquire a heavy touring schedule and his more recent 'Puke It Up' EP released on the label only cemented his career in the industry further. Alongside his home label wAFF has also been releasing and remixing for labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Resonance Recordings and Rinse.

Fur Coat explore the power of thought in their first album for Crosstown Rebels 'Mind Over Matter' after a steep climb into mainstream consciousness. Fur Coat are about that space where darkness meets the groove. Their combination of live vocals and psychedelic synths create dance floor magic. The Venezuelan duo was spotted by Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus little more than eight months ago, and they have since been on lockdown to complete their first studio album. Bringing together some supreme guest vocalists such as Mel Blatt of All Saints fame, the young NYC star Rap Lisa, Big Bully known for his previous work with Jay Haze, Cari Golden, Argenis Brito and Stee Downes of Lovebirds chart fame, the result is primed for taking charge of the dancefloor at the end of 2012. Fur Coat is the brainchild of Sergio Muñoz (Delete) and Israel Sunshine, two fresh producers from Venezuela. Their first single 'Space Ballad' feat. Argenis Brito featured a huge remix by Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaurs and kept all eyes firmly focused on the duo. Combined with the omnipresence of Latin music growing up, a formative cocktail of Giorgio Moroder, Larry Levan and La Fania All Stars and Salsa Brava led to a vibrant musical philiosophy and powerful desire to work their magic on the dancefloor.

Luigi Madonna - Dark Grey
Luigi Madonna joins Joseph Capriati's Redimension imprint with three atmospheric techno cuts entitled 'The Colours Of The Day EP'. Since 2008 renowned Italian artist Luigi Madonna has released on Plus 8, Drumcode, Second State and Octopus, alongside performing across the globe including at Awakenings, Amnesia, fabric, Watergate and Sound Museum Vision in Tokyo. Now, continuing to expand his awe-inspiring catalogue and place amongst the wider techno community, he brings his thundering and infectiously rhythmic techno to Redimension. 'Midnight Sun' opens with flying synths, cantering drums and spaciously sweeping snares that briskly fuels the audio journey into techno bliss. On the flip, 'Dark Yellow' drives with industrial kicks, layered claps, saturated keys and propulsive percussion until 'Dark Grey' concludes with zapping stabs, subtly emerging bass and polished cymbal patterns.

Tracklist (vinyl release):

B2 Empire
Release Info:
Redimension welcomes newcomers Richey V & Simone Zino to the label with an exclusive collaboration from the young Italian duo.
Hailing from Milan, the pair cut their teeth performing regularly at the cities best known techno clubs and events, leading to Simone gaining a spot as resident DJ at famed Italian venue Bolgia, and Richey launching his own weekly techno event, VOID. With further support on their releases from well-known DJs such as Joseph Capriati, Tale Of Us and Adam Beyer, they have built a strong and growing fan base.
“Hysteria” is the first collaborative EP to come from the couple, and it does not disappoint. The eponymous track creates tension with a stripped back groove, and uses hypnotic synths and an arpeggiated lead synth to generate an extra wave of intensity, resulting in a brutal workout, worthy of its namesake.
Track two, simply titled “Action” lifts the Ep’s energy even further. With a sinister lead vocal throughout, the hard-hitting drums and warning sirens give a taste of what’s to come.
Next up, “Rave On” is a nonstop workout that takes the EP deeper using unique vocal chants, and a buzzing lead synth. Keeping the spirit of the rave alive, “Rave On” is a throwback to the origins of techno, and is set to damage dance floors from warehouse raves to intimate clubs.
The fourth track on the EP, “Empire” uses a thick and driving bassline, and the accompanying melodic synths to create moments of euphoria. The driving techno track is relentless in its dramatic suspense, and leaves the Dancefloor wanting more.
Last up is the EP’s digital exclusive. “Meteora” is an epic slice of melodic techno, using snare rolls and swelling synth pulses to create waves of sonic energy, the track is a welcome finale to the EP and rounds of a truly unique and powerful EP from the young Italians.

Info:
Redimension is the label project of Joseph Capriati and is run as a platform to champion music that showcases the more underground side of his taste in techno. Along with tracks from the label boss himself, it’s also featured contributions from Adam Beyer, Anthony Parasole, Flavio Folco and Rino Cerrone.
Now on its sixth release, the labels latest EP is from Klaudia Gawlas, a leading lady in the world of techno who plays DJ gigs all over Europe and other parts of the world. Her skills behind the decks and crowd reading abilities are second to none, and those honed skills have translated into the explosive tracks she produces.
Working with a great number of highly respected record labels she has consistently proven herself to be a skilled producer, and she delivers the goods once again with a stunning four track EP of dark and thundering techno.
“The Siren” opens the show with crunching percussion and acid pulses that grow with ominous tension, whilst the dance floor focused framework of the mechanical groove ensures maximum impact. Fast and ferocious, this hard-hitting cut takes no prisoners with a menacing sound.
Keeping the same tough vibe, “Lightnings” is second on the EP with fast flowing hi-hats, clap rhythms, and hypnotic synth work. The eerie atmosphere present in this immersive cut of ground shuddering techno adds to its overall exhilaration of the track’s aggressive style.
Track three “Niet” focuses in on a sensual vocal layered over a tough percussive groove, which combine to create a captivating eloquence both unnerving and alluring. Distinctive and full of personality, there is no doubt that for many DJ’s this will be the main attraction of the EP.
Closing proceedings is “The Whirl” that uses an arpeggiated lead synth to create an uplifting mood to this otherwise sinister cut. Unrelenting in its onslaught, the invigorating strength of the tracks up-tempo and energetic momentum is like a tsunami of sound.

Shortinfo:
Joseph Capriati updates three classic tracks from friend and Napoli legend Rino Cerrone's label Rilis. Known as an artist whose identity is inseparable from his home city, it is fitting that Joseph would revisit the work of a Neapolitan techno icon for his own label REDIMENSION. Capriati takes the unhinged spirit of early 00s Napoli techno and adds his signature touch. A must-have for fans of both these artists.
In Joseph's own words: "In 2003 I went to my first techno party, at Old River Park in Napoli, where Rino Cerrone was playing. I was into house music at the time but that day the Techno music changed my life. I'm happy to present three reinterpretations of his tracks all these years later, having become close friends over the years and working together on many projects. He allowed me to choose whichever tracks from his incredible, timeless Rilis discography and here are the results. Two new versions of Rino Cerrone originals, and one of a Gaetano Parisio remix."

Anthony Parasole - Hot Zone
Tracklisting:
A1 Velocity
B1 Bang
B2 Hot Zone
Info:
New Yorker Anthony Parasole provides three powerful, dancefloor productions for the third release onJoseph Capriati’s new label REDIMENSION.
The exceptional opener ‘Velocity’ wastes no time setting the theme of the record with its supremely-tight drum programming, jerky bassline and synth notes that spiral into space. 'Bang’ has similarly skipping percussion and a looped melody which reveals itself for a moment midway through the track before the
pulse beats on. A killer, minimalist combination of drums, bass and the sample that the track takes its name from. Finally, the restrained, warehouse feel and human touch to the rhythm of ‘Hot Zone’ again finds the Berghain resident exploring the sweet spot between house and techno. His sonic voice between
the two genres is founded on his wider influences, and the result carries a subtle funk, muscular beats and hint of NYC swagger. Tried and tested by Joseph Capriati and sure to stay long in the bags of DJs, Parasole’s fine productions have the hallmarks of an artist who knows exactly how to move a dancefloor himself. At once you both expect the unexpected and find that every progression or pad sweep arrives exactly when it was meant to.

A Side . Prospective Journeys
B Side Consider Oneself
Shortinfo:
After his collaboration with Adam Beyer Joseph Capriati teams up with Flavio Folco for the second Redimension with a fully analogue production in the studio. A wide range of sounds taking you deeper into their idea of space, dimension and possible destinations.
Joseph's creativity received a new drive from the collaboration with the emerging talent Flavio Folco whose musical roots range from Jazz to Hip Hop and Acid House. Their studio sessions in Barcelona and Flavio's openings sets at Capriati's shows gave both of them the chance to get to know each other on a deeper musical level which turned into an unexpected and dynamic EP.

Info:
Joseph Capriati is set to launch his brand new Record Label REDIMENSION whose debut release is a collaboration with his friend and key figure in his career Adam Beyer.
This challenging project sees Joseph artistically committed to releasing great electronic music from Artists he holds in high esteem, be they close friends or emerging talents.
His friendship with Adam Beyer started a long time ago and Capriati soon became an established artist for Drumcode, releasing his second full length album, ‘Self Portrait’ with the label. A relationship that was reinforced over time and significantly resulted in several legendary B2B performances in venues such as Berghain and Monegros to name just a few.
Adam and Joseph worked side by side in Adam’s hometown Stockholm, where the two could spend a great time in the Studio giving birth to these two state of the art tracks. Both of which have been highlight moments of their recent and copious DJ sets across the Globe.
The artwork is part of a tryptich that explores the dynamism of the movement of horses. It’s hand painted using the ‘tachism” technique, which involves the use of dabs or splotches of colour, similar in aims to abstract expressionism.
The record is available on vinyl for the addicted, and digital formats to ensure everyone can play them. Art direction and graphic design: Roberto Rosolin. Illustration: Luca Zamoc
