Hailing from Catania, Sicily, his deeper influenced house sound is a hit at Yoruba and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back. This EP opens with the beatless mix of Impermanence. Tshaka Campbell’s vocals lend unbelievable perspective to this jazzy, guitar-led chill out track while also giving listeners some serious food for thought – an easy track to lose yourself in. Up next is Take Care – influenced by the classic Chicago sound, this bass line driven cut pushes the style in new directions while maintaining an absolute dance floor focus – a must-have to kick off the year. Flipping the record over, we close with Be The Wind. Toto Chiavetta is no newcomer to the game, having released several musical gems on his own imprint Vialocal Recordings. Hailing from Catania, Sicily Toto has a long standing relationship with house music. Having been a dj from an early age, his knowledge of the golden age of the nineties dance music scene, he like a lot of Italian music lovers embraced deep house. Here with his debut release on Yoruba, Toto offers up an ep full of deep, acid, techno fueled gems. Percussion Suite is just that, a sweet percussion entry. Mother Acid Land takes us back to the basics of acid house with flares of a next step to its evolution, not yet realized. The title track Become One is simply deep and techy in its approach, with tribal drums and moody chords, this tune is destined to dominate the dance floors.
