NYC based singer, multi instrumentalist and prolific producer Heidi Sabertooth brings her experimental and grungy sound to the fore, with a fierce EP examining the grainiest textures in dance music. It's been over three years since she brought her unique brand of raw techno to the underground, and now Heidi deepens her relationship between art and modern-day living in a blend of controlled chaos.

Opening track 'Screaming Into The Abyss' does exactly that, with its use of muddled voices and melancholic allure, glued loosely together with vintage acid and the producer's deep love of hardware. There's a playfulness to follow up 'Slide Into My DM', Heidi's elements seemingly communicating telepathically in a game of mutant-chess. Grooves and otherworldly dynamics flux and spill while splashes of reverb make it anything but predictable.

B side opener 'Pissed' maintains this raw aesthetic, sounding both mechanical and free-flowing with its foreboding melodies, melting between heavy bass and screeching pads; remaining functional but full of beautiful, unconventional touches. The record comes to a close with title track 'Insane In The Cat Brain' a disorientated affair encapsulating the restlessness and uncertainty of our times, spearheaded by an artist never afraid to take risks.

UFO Inc. starts the new decade with fast, dark improv-techno tracks by the New York DJ, producer and singer Heidi Sabertooth. The four tracks on UFO4 are an impressive testimony to her passion for vintage gear and are the result of an interplay of mainly three machines with which she also plays live: Roland SH-101, Korg ESX2 Electribe and Yamaha DX200 - Sabertooth knows her tools inside and out by heart and tried on this EP to sound as "live" and spontaneous as possible. She plays her machines like instruments and want them to have some life and breath in them because she grew up playing all kinds of wind and string instruments and played in bands many years before she became a DJ. Her approach to making tracks is to capture as much live experimentation and weirdness as possible, while still making something that grooves and kicks on the dancefloor.?She is not so concerned about making things perfect, in fact sometimes she intentionally try to disrupt things if it starts sounding too polished or square: ,,I like things to be human. I think you can feel it in the recording when the hands are touching the machine - it is human/machine/spirit connection.?This is why I named the EP as such - With The Void - this is how I like to create: jump into outerspace, into the unknown, with my machines and we all have an experience together - a cosmic electric dance - and that's when I hit the record button." This is Lost Soul Enterprises big 15th release on wax, a tidy compilation of off-kilter dance floor cuts and misfit synthpunk anthems.

Side A commences with the gothic, neon-soaked Miami bass of ALONZO's "Cruising with Pap," featuring sinister verses delivered by a shadowy syrupsipping secret guest vocalist. Up next is bucking bronco NICK KLEIN's slow-mo industrial headbanger "Posture Test. The sonic equivalent of a sweat-soaked concrete floor, it lurches along at its own mechanical pace amid the metallic hiss and howl. Lastly, wild synth lines and ethereal dubbed-out samples dart in and out over a tough, punchy rhythmic foundation in NAEEM's "TLX," an android's sci-fi electro vision gone haywire.

On the B side, HEIDI SABERTOOTH's "Was It You" launches us deep into chugging acidic territory, combining enigmatic spoken vocals and a psychedelic, slowly evolving SH-101 line over a persuasive groove. Like a slap in the face after that comes raucous synth-punk powerhouse SSPS with "Paradise Lozt," raw as fuck, chanting a litany of dystopian tales atop pumping drums and a wash of demented organ-like synth stabs. Finally we close with the short but powerful "New Vape City" by the nomadic DOUCE ANGOISSE - an absolute earworm, a doleful coldwave ballad whose lush production plays perfect counterpoint to the icy, deadpan sentiments within.

Release Note:
This is the debut album by Funeral Parade Of Roses. It takes the form of a suite of four ominous, cinematic soundscapes suffused with foreboding and unease. In each track, dread-laden industrial atmospherics are punctuated by scorching bursts of rhythm, pantomiming an ongoing struggle between loss and liberation.

The presentation of this body of sound work is also conceived as a collaboration between the artist and designer / illustrator Priscilla Genet, whose artwork is featured both on the full color printed insert sleeve and the accompanying zine.

The zine itself is a booklet of stream of consciousness verse that explores a highly personal meditation on negation, the anarchic, and utopian eschatology.

A sort of Cabaret Voltaire for the iPhone age, DROOIDS are a collective of three multimedia artists who produce electronic music using improvisational, often anarchic methods. Utilizing a hodgepodge of gear both old and new, and not-wholly-quantized, they create a collage of sounds that verges on chaos before slipping back into a dark yet weirdly club-oriented beat. Their live shows usually feature multiple guest collaborators, costumes, sculptural props and performative antics. For their debut release on LSE we tried to capture the spirit of these shows and recorded over 11 hours of DROOIDS improvising in the studio of the course of one week. Those 11 sprawling hours then got edited down to these 4 snapshots, mastered and pressed in a limited edition of 200 (40 with original gelatin silver prints) for our 6th vinyl release.

Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-raised producer Heartbloc provides the standout A1 cut “Mirage”. Out of a dense forest of percussion emerges a shimmering, refracted melody, turning endlessly inward upon itself, mutating, snaking out of sight and just as suddenly reappearing. On the B side is R Gamble’s remix of young LongIsland Based artist Bosco Clowe’s “Suffication”. It’s a gritty, propulsive warehouse-ready techno interpretation of her original mix, which comes next-a rumbling, dubbed-out spacescape painted in tough textures and bouncy rhythms. Limited pressing

Emerging NYC label Lost Soul Enterprises present Hidden City, their third 12” release and first single-artist EP. These four tracks by Brooklyn native J Slusher, made in collaboration with his fellow artists in the borough’s thriving experimental techno scene, are dark, menacing excursions into after hours territory. His previous work as a noise artist under various monikers (Opponents, Privilege, Unstable Systems) informs a uniquely uncompromising take on club music. Slusher takes a stripped-down, industrial approach to percussion and populates it with otherworldly vocal snippets and growling synths. The result is hypnotic, evoking the severe moods and disused spaces so vital to the secret nightlife of the city.

Lost Soul Enterprises is an artist-run label based in New York City. We produce quality dance records, limited edition art objects, and other hybrid media. This untitled 12 inch vinyl is our inaugural release: four original house and techno compositions by founders Richard Gamble + Michael Rogers. A1 Reverentz starts with a tight, punchy kick drum, bouncy hihats and claps, and slowly build with warm harmonic washes and cutup soulful vocals. After dropping into a brief vocal interlude, a depp rolling bassline brings it all back together with maximum dancefloor effect. The A2 cut is a more hollowed, abstract interpretation of the same vocal theme. Eroded, reverb-soaked fragments of melodies weave in and out of raw, frenetic drum patterns. A jerky tambourine/snare pairing emerges midway to push things into overdrive. B1 Blind Boy combines a deep, brooding drone with jazzy organ stabs and a vicious, relentless kick and snare. Gospel vocals emerge suddenly from this tangled web, adding a further haunting element to a unique and weirdly danceable track. B2 Telekinesis Up is a highly infectious old school electro drum workout peppered with gritty, growling synth chords and percussive mallet accents. A dueling synth bass/lead combo alternates warm, saturated melodic phrases between the breaks.
