Mindshift Records is proud to present Trouble12, "Homan Square", by Area featuring remix appearances by Murdoc and Drmlgcc, culminating in a stellar release pressed on limited-edition vinyl, out of continued respect for the vinyl medium.
The release begins with "Dark Days", a strong cut with deep kicks, hard claps, and solid
basslines all combined to create a euphoric experience for both listeners and dancers.
Up next, a remix of "Alta" by Murdoc brings us to the next level with pulsating bass, haunting vocals and crafty syth-work, sure to please closing out the A-side very nicely.
Opening the B-side, we have Drmlgcc's remix of "Dark Days", a bass-heavy rendition of the original, featuring unique synth pads, great percussion, and rhythmic pauses throughout the progression of the track.
Concluding the release is the original mix of "Alta", a unique composition
returning us full-circle and closing out the EP "Homan Square".

Our first release for 2015 comes from Chicagoan, Area. His previous releases on various labels including his own, Kimochi, show a producer who spans many genres while maintaining a particular aesthetic. This untethered approach has lead to "One Less Me"—one of his most moving records to date. Area has melded elements from bass music, industrial, electroacoustic, spoken-word and techno into 3 tracks that distill their influences into something greater than the sum of its parts. Opener "Circadian" is built on a two-chord refrain to a stepping rhythm amidst a dank warehouse atmosphere. Spoken-word interlude, "One Less Me," is little more than a female voice processed and cleverly twisted over crisp electronic filigree. The EP closes with "XXeXX” (Crushkilled Version), which sounds like the remnants of the opening track after being drop-forged and scattered to the breeze—long peals of reverberating melodic feedback straining under a dense bank of static fog—breaking free every few measures to expand into the light, then crushed. "One Less Me" is the beginning of a new relationship that we look forward to see flourish in the future, and of course, to share it with you.

The fourth series of 'Silent Movie Sounds' opens with beautiful house tune by Nemanja Krstic, producer of the memorable track 'Novi Beograd' on the ninth 'My Love Is Underground' release. Queen of Deep House, Lady Blacktronika also features on A side with a slow jam with Japanese influence. Speaking of the Land of the Rising Sun, opening the B side of RHR 012 is Yoshiki Tsuchiya aka Miruga, who already was part of the label on RHR 006 with his compatriots. Seal Bient, producer from Yekaterinburg makes his vinyl debut with the mesmerizing track 'Slavery'. More

Rough House Rosie welcomes Trinidadian Deep, 'the other side of Ron trent muscial Genious and Right arm' and the regular on Future Vision Records. On the A side the New York based producer delivers almost 14 minutes long track with the mesmerizing keys and solid drum parts. On the B side Trini gives us the taste of the soulful 'Italness'. On the remix duties is the RHR hero HVL with his robotic version of the track Obi.

Cologne vinyl only operation Rough House Rosie return with a fourth release and a full label debut from Russian producer Shine Grooves (also known to make techno as Quadrat) whose track "Pure Reason" featured on the Silent Movie Sounds I split release issued by RHR earlier this year. The Cairo EP sees the Yekaterinburg-based producer drop five cuts that slip between various moods of house and techno.
