Musical innovators Angel Rodriguez and Michael Cole have been releasing mind-altering techno and house music since 1991 under their Slam Mode guise. Effortlessly marrying the tribalistic with the futuristic, they carved out their own unique sound alongside innovative techno acts coming out of the Detroit scene.

Whether drawing from roots in jazz and funk or tuning into signals from the distant future, Slam Mode's music is never predictable and ever explorative. My affinity with this album combined with my deep appreciation for all that Slam Mode's music has given me over the years led me to take on the honorable challenge of giving "Amorphous" a physical incarnation via LILA.
