His releases on cult labels Compost, Free Range and Black Pearls Records have long spoken to us here at KOMPAKT. We welcome this summer heater which is “Gilli 88 EP”. A tribute to the 80s phenomenon…THE PANINARO. Without any ideological basis or connection to a particular lifestyle THE PANINARO was based around fashion imagery and luxurious clothing. Enzo found this translatable to today’s social network dynamics and is prime for the retrofuturistic dancefloors of today that are inspired by the golden days of Italo-Disco. “Low Red” is a Italo-Pop gem conceived with Quique Aldebaran and Quique on vocals that takes inspiration from the legends that were – the mighty Suicide. An instrumental version dives deeper into the groove for DJ play persuasion. “Aj Squinza” takes a classic 80’s disco approach with sound-scaping synths that endlessly jam with an everchanging rhythm. “Volpinata” succumbs to a classic EBM groove that finds its way out of focus due to fat synth melodies that engorge this elevating track. The story took shape, when Peter (15) and Rodney (13) decided to meet up on a daily basis at Peter's house to jam and to record their musical ideas on a stereo tape deck, combining all of their influences like, James Brown, Gary Numan or even Bauhaus in to a special Kruder/Hunter style, it wouldn't take long and these guys would write music history with their forthcoming, new projects. years have passed and Peter and Rodney always stayed in touch, when they met it would occasionally happen that the two would reminisce about the past, those days when they would rock the tape deck. one of those chats inspired both to meet up again and to work on new music, the only guideline was to finish the business with the spirit and ideas that they started out with back in the days.

Elegant swinging disco-boogie-like debut 12" by Ed Lee with a powerful, but damn cool vocal performance by Alison David (The Black Sience Orchestra). Maestro Moonstarr turned the original into a uptempo hands-waving blockhouse stomper, while Akshin Alizadeh flavored it with some nu-funk beats. More

El Freakadell is the new project founded by Enzo Elia (Balearic Gabba Sound System) and Roskow Kretschmann (Sygaire, Kosma, Mudegg and ex Jazzanova). Due to their musical background those two guys from Berlin do what they do best: trademark quality music. Here the duo delivers gorgeous garage, compatible to the famous loft classics. The orginal disco version „I've Got You“. rings in with the traditional disco percussions in combination with above shakein hi-hats, and the appearance of the ingenuous strings and an outstanding soul voice.
