Much like P.Leone, Caiazzo’s debut release (entitled ‘The Dredge’) landed on Work Them Records; Spencer Parker’s label that’s featured names such as Radio Slave, Rodhad, DJ Richard and Ryan Elliot. Launching E-Missions earlier this year, the pair continue their high quality output by following up two releases from P.Leone with three uncompromising original cuts from Caiazzo himself.
Rolling percussion drives ‘917 (Sportmixxx)’ whilst intoxicating drones operate throughout, making way for ‘Lifeform’ with its layers of thick synthesised sounds that build on top of a relentless drum composition with subtle but effective transitions. ‘Godbody’ offers a stripped back approach to techno with an intricate percussive composition that allows a deep low-end and a hypnotic perc to take control.
Finally, White Material label boss Young Male provides his take on ‘Godbody’ where bass hits combine with haunting atmospheres and warped rhythms, closing the release with style.

Work Them Records begins 2015 with a remix package of Radio Slave's 2014 release, 'Werk', that takes in versions from DJ Richard, Dan Beaumont and s:vt. White Materials man Dj Richard takes the cut into trippy, technoid house territory while Dance Tunnel impresario and London institution Dan Beaumont cracks out his 909 and servers up a strident pumper. Work Them artist s:vt closes the package with a powerful rework that channels the original's tone perfectly. With a release schedule that includes tracks and remixes from Mr Ties, Adrianna Lopez, Young Male and newcomer CAIAZZO from Queens for 2015, Work Them Records is looking sharp

E-Missions welcomes back Rush Plus with three forward thinking techno cuts and a remix from Enemy Records boss Dustin Zahn. Comprised of Jackson Ryland and Jus Nowhere, Rush Plus are known for helming their Rush Plus Records and Metro Xpress imprints when not appearing on Ambivalent’s Valence and P.Leone and Caiazzo’s E-Missions, with the latter releasing their critically acclaimed ‘The Sweat’. Their refreshing take on techno has resulted in continual support from all corners of the scene including top tier names like Ben UFO, DVS1, Daniel Avery, and many more. Opening at full pelt, ‘Staring At The Sun’ pertains to the duo’s ability to master rhythm, fusing manic syncopated patterns with clashing keys and ringing bells until Dustin Zahn’s rework takes a lighter approach with cosmic synths and dusty brushes. ‘Waverunner' is next, blending acid lines with an ambient soundscape reminiscent to a retro video game, making way for the galloping ‘Sh,Boom’ with its hypnotic vocals, rumbling low end and sonic zaps to conclude matters.

Tred returns to E-Missions with four otherworldly electro cuts entitled 'Fragments Into Nothing' featuring a robust remix from Solid Blake. Dropping his debut release on E-Missions just over a year ago, which received support from the likes of Boris, Mama Snake, Volvox and Courtesy, Tred's continued turning heads ever since, performing both in his birthplace of Australia, Asia as well as many of Berlin's finest clubs, notably regular appearances at Tresor. Kick-starting this year with a release on Australian label Doe Dee, he now returns to P.Leone & Caiazzo's consistently quality E-Missions imprint bringing three twisting tracks. 'Fragments Into Nothing' is built on crunchy snares, soaring pads and aquatic effects whilst 'The Manitou' is more raw in comparison with its thunderous kicks, chugging low-end and sci-fi synths. Quick and intricate, 'Disconnected' features an analog bassline, ethereal chords and distorted vocal murmurs, making way for a slower, more muscular remix from Glaswegian producer Solid Blake.

false witness - Devil May Cry (Henning Baer Remix)
Los Angeles-based artist False Witness drops three rapturous cuts on E-Missions EP entitled ‘Red Curtain Daybreak’, featuring a deadly remix from Berlin’s Henning Baer. Real name Marco Gomez, False Witness is an artist, producer and DJ from Boston who’s spent recent years making a name for themselves in New York as a respected resident at Venus X’s iconic club night, GHE20G0TH1K; their own monthly series at Bossa Nova Civic named In The Dark; not to mention releases on labels like Bastard Brigade and Lit City Trax. An artist creating genre defying dance music, False Witness now appears E-Missions, joining a varied roster of quality artists such as Rush Plus, Tred, CYD, as well as label co-founders P.Leone and Caiazzo. Featuring three very different sounding originals, ‘Red Curtain Daybreak’ sets out to soundtrack Gomez's experience of the new light and space movement within the Brooklyn underground. The title track is a fast and furious techno roller with relentless drums and a hypnotic lead. Named after Lauren Berlant’s constitutive theoretical work on neoliberal desire, ‘Cruel Optimism’ offers respite from the chaos with a contemplative projection of post-euphoria. On the flip, ‘Devil May Cry’ reworks the same elements of ‘Red Curtain Daybreak’ into a peaktime techno roller with a sinister bassline. Finally, German producer Henning Baer concludes matters with a hypnotic remix of ‘Devil May Cry’ featuring a captivating rhythmic arrangement.

Polish producer CYD joins the ever impressive E-Missions with six leftfield cuts in ‘Disassemble Yourself’ EP.
Launching in New York last year, the first three E-Missions releases came from co-founders P.Leone and Caiazzo. Since then the label has relocated to Berlin, developing its roster throughout 2018 with quality releases coming from Tred and Rush Plus that further cemented the label’s growing reputation as one of the most interesting labels to emerge in recent years. Joining the roster now, CYD aka Karol Kazmierzewski has been making music under various aliases for the best part of two decades and has developed a versatile yet distinct sound as a result.
Swelling synths and grainy effects open the release in ‘A Warmness You Can’t Touch’ before moving into the downtempo beats and scintillating melodies of ‘Halcyon Dreams’. Up next, ‘One Winged’ ups the energy with crashing percussion, twisted effects and serene female vocals, making way for a layered composition complete with echoing atmospherics titled ‘Hidden In The Forest’. With its dystopian aesthetic, ‘Initiation’ is the most ominous on the package, whilst ‘Not So Shallow’ incorporates chopped samples and quivering chords for a hypnotic conclusion.

Washington DC’s Rush Plus drop four superb techno cuts entitled ‘The Sweat EP’ on P.Leone and Caiazzo’s E-Missions imprint this June. Having dropped three quality releases on their own eponymous label, Rush Plus continue to turn heads with their imaginative productions, gaining support from the upper echelons of techno with names like Rodhad, Ben Klock, DJ Spider, Ben Sims, Slam, Answer Code Request, DJ Deep and many more getting behind them. Following up a release on Ambivalent’s Valence Records, they now join P.Leone and Caiazzo’s rapidly rising E-Missions imprint.
‘Megabust’ initiates the package with twisted sci-fi synths and syncopated drums whilst rattling metallic elements operate throughout. Intricate hits of percussion are soon followed by rumbling bass in ‘Rebirth’ as the track gradually becomes more and more twisted using filtered effects and soaring pads, making way for the shuffling ‘Sweat’ with its menacing stabs and echoing voices. Finally, the package concludes with ‘Slow Release’ - a high-octane and ominous roller.

E-Missions’ next release comes from Australia’s Tred, featuring four cosmic bangers entitled ‘Intrinsic Field EP’ with a breakbeat remix from Safer At Night co-founder Lawrence Lee. Based in Berlin, Tred aka Ed Treleaven’s debut release on E-Missions follows label founders P.Leone and Caiazzo. ‘Intrinsic Field EP’ captures his love of hardware instruments and propels the listener into a world of ratcheting drums, celestial pads and acid bass lines. Fuelled by a fascination with science fiction and a penchant for straight-up electro, Tred brings a refreshing take on the genre and a unique approach to retro futurism.

New York’s P. Leone is back with the second release on his newly launched E-MISSIONS imprint featuring Work Them Records founder Spencer Parker on remix duties.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, where he discovered the legendary Storm Rave parties run by Frankie Bones and Adam X, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing in the Lower East side of Manhattan before making techno himself. Before long the producer dropped his first two releases on Work Them Records, joining a roster spanning Radio Slave, Spencer Parker, Young Male, Anetha and Physical Therapy. E-MISSIONS was then launched in early 2017, acting as a platform for co-founders P. Leone and CAIAZZO with more exciting artists soon to be announced.
‘Discipline Signals’ is dark and robust from start to finish, with ‘Functions of Discipline 1’ inaugurating the package with resonating kicks, trippy elements and industrial synths. ‘Functions of Discipline 2’ follows a similar aesthetic but heads into a deeper direction with its cavernous atmospherics and glitch inspired effects, making way for ‘Laced’ with its sinister drones and tantalising melodies. Spencer Parker then remixes ‘Laced’, concluding matters with rugged drums, energetic hi-hats and a rumbling low-end.
