Tracklist 12" Vinyl Excerpt:
A1 Intro - Chinaski RMX
A2 Space Consciousness
B1 Warm Conquest
B2 Comets
INFO:
Space Is The Place friends!
We are happy to present "Space Consciousness", the first album on our little imprint composed by astro traveller Adham Zahran. Born on a day where the Sun was aligned with the Eridanus Supervoid, a ray of energy from deep space unraveled an ancient force inside baby Adham that allowed him to share the wonders of the cosmos through some seriously funky house muzak.
The 8 track joint comes to you in a binary format with a 12" continuous analog excerpt (by buying the 12", you will get a download-code for the complete album). On top of that we asked Professor Chinaski, a proofed expert of the chaos theory and meteor card collector, to invert the albums intro into a slammy dancefloor banger, which the professional disc jockey won't be able to resist.
If you don't believe us, ask your astrologist!

Adham Zahran - Grain Galaxy (Javas Remix)
Growing up with and influenced by the sounds of TR-909 or TR-808 which surrounds you, then you would recognize Adham Zahran's signature sound and his unique skills when he plays with rhythms and catchy melodies, especially on this 'Grain Galaxy'. He also brings us tracks such as 'Ocean Falls' and 'Synth Funk Suit 1' full of pleasant dreamy vibrations that would sound amazing at your local venue, as well as if you just let the decks play at home for your own listening session. Head of Umanuto Records Javas remixed the original 'Grain Galaxy' as a classic house leg warmer to get it moving on the dance floor.

Adham Zahran - Picture Of The Tree
WPH label boss Red D has always considered Adham Zahran to be the Moodymann/Theo Parrish of Egypt, so it is only fitting that for his second release on the label Adham joins the WPH U.S. Series ranks. His deep dusty house sound oozes soul and groove and this release is no exception.
Opening track ‘Flowing Green’ kicks off the E.P. with shining chords that will go down like a treat on any house dancefloor in the hands of the right DJ. ‘No Sorrow’ takes things more heady, but make no mistake, it kicks like the proverbial mule if you let it roam free. On the B-side we first have Detroit’s mainstay Brian Kage on remix duties for the final track ‘Picture Of The Tree’, providing that extra motor city funk we all love. The original finishes the proceedings in – dare we say it – deepest fashion to round off another quality outing from the WPH camp. More

Info:
It's the big 5! Berlin – Frankfurt based label House Is OK is celebrating its five-year long
presence and has decided to mark that period with something special
Label's story started with a sticker Homeboy printed in his former hometown, Zagreb,
saying “House Is OK”. Catchy, right? It became an underground slogan of the local scene. It
didn't take long for people to embrace the idea stating that it's OK to be into melodic,
fresh, groovy yet, at times, a bit awkward dance music.
Just around the same time Homeboy's Frankfurt based bro's Oliver Achatz and Janis played
with the idea of starting a record label. Guess what the logical choice for the name was?
Ten records, dozens of original songs and remixes later House is OK continues to grow.
Literally. What was once a platform for the original three founders is now an international
family affair supporting the talented artists from Frankfurt, Stockholm, Alexandria and
Orlando. Nurturing the friendly approach this musical family continues to grow.
Looking back at the first five years, not only at the music that connected them all but at
the bonds that deepened through the production process, House is OK crew wanted to take
create a proper reminder and thank the ones supporting them throughout the years. A
double 12” pack titled “Gemišt” seemed like a proper way to do that.
„Gemišt“ will be released as two separate EPs featuring the original music from Kornél
Kovacs, Roman Flügel, Gavri & McQueen, TCB, House Of Life and the label makers
themselves. Oliver and Janis deliver tracks under their known names, while Homeboy
introduces his new project with fellow Wilde Renate resident The Swift, called Longhair.
Croatian artist Ugruv Smek marks his yearlong collaboration with the label delivering yet
another smashing artwork.
Mark the upcoming February when “Gemišt part I” is to be released and while you're at it,
move on to March just so you don't miss the “Gemišt part II” release. And yeah, in case
you’re wondering - of course it's both 12” EP release and in digital format. House is OK’s
got you covered. More

B1 - Bombon
B2 - Kornati Sunsets
Info:
The ninth installment on House Is OK comes from Homeboy who brings four fresh joints to the table.
After making the move to Berlin earlier this year, this Mediterranean goodboy brings some newly acquired production techniques with his latest record. Live drum sampling, loose synth riffs and other more personal notes can be heard across the entire release. For "Decisions Ricochet", Homeboy teamed up with the Croatian blues man Bebe Na Vole who takes this record into unexplored territories for the label.
These four tracks weren't necessarily designed to move bodies on the dance floor, but more likely mirror his inspiration from the past 12 months and show his abilities to simply write great music. It's House Not House, post-disco, jazz, and acid synth hippie music all at the same time.
"The Heart Is Where Homeboy Is" will hit stores in late September both as a 12" Vinyl EP and in your favorite digital format.

house of life / dgf - hans with no pants
2
house of life / dgf - greif meine hand
Tracklist:
A1: House Of Life - Hans With No Pants
B1: DGF - Greif Meine Hand
INFO:
House Is OK, but Oli, Janis and Homeboy never said they were exclusively a house label.
Introducing House Of Life and DGF to the world, they make a slight change in direction. This split 7" single leaves the world of 4/4 interpretations and takes the imprint to the land of "creep hop" and "trip pop".
House Of Life is a project of Chaveli Sifre Riestra & Nikias Chryssos. They make songs about men who dance with no pants, Jesus Christ, Satan, and darkroom murderers. Their lyrics are channeled
through occult rites, internet forums, computer codes, and therapy sessions.
"Hans With No Pants" tells the story of a guy who likes to party with kids, eat cake and serve cool drinks. He lives in a house by the beach and invites guests to dance with him, but what goes on in his basement remains an unspoken mystery.
On the flip, a number from DGF, a project of Nikias & label honcho Janis. "Greif Meine Hand" was originally written for the original soundtrack of Nikas' short film "The Grandfather". After it got to the 2nd place on the Intergalactic FM demo competition and got props by the likes of I-f, Rude66 and DJ TLR, we decided to give it a second chance by putting it on this lush 45.

Tracklist:
A1 - Uptown Slice A2 - Z-Gnal B1 - 2nd Touch (Roman Flu?gel Remix) B2 - Excerpt
Info:
House Is OK's seventh instalment goes Kraut with a three tracker from Chris Beiswenger
formally known as TCB (The Citizen's Band). Since the split up of Arto Mwambe, Chris
has been slowly building a sound of his own. Instead of sticking to standard templates he
has gone deep into modular synthesis and his music can be described as futuristic,
kindred and cerebral.
Labels such as Live At Robert Johnson, Tasteful Nudes and Story already recognised
TCB's unique twist and "Rather Happy Songs" is just another proof of his unquestionable
quality. These three mid-tempo techno ballads will get your mind moving and spirit floating
while your body will fall in instant trance dancing to these highly hypnotising pieces.
A remix from Roman Flu?gel on top makes the EP a 100% "Frankfurt affair" and when it
comes to House and Techno, we Frankfurters take our "green sauce" serious, don't we?
Cheers,
HIOK Team

3
homeboy - somewhere a band is playing
Tracklist:
A1: HOMEBOY - KAPRIJE A2: HOMEBOY - THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE B1: HOMEBOY - SOMEWHERE A BAND IS PLAYING
Short info:
Its release time for House is OK! Frankfurt based label waited a bit longer than usual for its co-owner Marko Pelaic aka Homeboy to come up with new sounds so it doesn't really surprise they've decided to let him take over this, one man reign EP, first of that sort for this etiquette. "Kaprije" is not only news for the label but Homeboy himself; in a way he defined it as "writing a new chapter", stepping away from traditional house music, exploring more of the experimental and modern sounds; a direction he's interested in continuing. EP's lead track, with the same title, shines with a joyful piano hook, challenged by heavy synth noise and cosmic weirdness. Inspired by a memorable day spent at the Kaprije Island this is an uplifting hit for the festival season throughout Adriatic coast and any serious selector should have it on his list. The flip excites with "Simple Things in Life", a warm and melancholic mid tempo swinger that transforms into beautiful absurdity, while "Somewhere a Band is Playing" closes the EP with a spacey and jazzy feel. "Kaprije" is a collection of no nonsense house for those who got bored with 909 hi-hats and rolling snare drums, proving that Homeboy' 18 month pause of not releasing any originals, has been worth waiting for.

UPC: 827170560666 ; Release : 11.08.2014
House Is OK is proud to announce the label debut from young greek god Christos Mavridis aka Eddoh! Two originals and a remix by label boss Oliver Achatz, who teamed up with keyboarder Daniel Nentwig aka D'Lonely Al, will bring purely good vibes to dancefloors. Lead track "This Summer" praises the lovely rainy days of summer time and will get your feet working instantly, while your head bangs "grooveliciously". "Love Echoes" brings that kind of deepness to the floor, we here at House Is OK HQ are looking for and adds that extra ingredient to your "househead" DJ sets. Oli takes "This Summer" over to his sunny side of the street. A steady rhythm that leads to his dreamy signature sound, spiced up with some special synth action by Daniel. A house romance for summers lovers. Kissing on the beach included! More

Tracklist: A1: Janis - Parental Advisory House A2: Janis - Flitzeflu Pumpkin B1: Janis - Ensoniq Youth B2: Janis - Parental Advisory House (Kornél Kovács Remix)
After the "We Make Music" vinyl trilogy release in 2013 House Is OK men are back and ready to kick it. They took their time polishing this new black piece of gem you'll be holding in your hands and after a period of careful track selecting, dedicated A&R work and multiple mastering sessions they proudly present the first, full EP on the label! Janis got the honors of being the first of the bunch to claim it! Named after his moms' favorite singer Janis, a full time musician, is either working on jingles for MTV European Music Awards, or making music for high-budget commercials and German art films, or spending his time constructing highly infectious House grooves. (Busy bee this one.) His latest EP for Tensnake's Mirau got strong reactions from the international House community including legends such as Mousse T, who couldn't resists its magical moods and atmosphere. On the "Parental Advisory House" EP Janis got to demonstrate his vide range of talents. Driven by heavy bass line and filled with a funky chord sequence lead track will easily be implemented in your brain with the freaky vocal singing about a girl that just can't stop dancing. Kids will need Parental Advisory before listening to this, as they'll probably be infected with the same catchy virus called movement, spreading from this tune. It's infectious we tell you! Adults are in danger of being contaminated as well. And let it be known that you've been warned! With "Fitzefu Pumpkin" Janis breaks the groove in a massive 2-step pumper. Good vibes come up instantly from tracks first few bars as it keeps putting that beautiful, subtle smile on your face until it gets to its last beat. Flip takes off with "Ensoniq Youth". Tracks name shows appreciation for one of House is OK camps favorite gear manufactures, partly used to build this smooth house groove. A typical Janis beat with strong rhythm section, dreamy synth pads and funny vocal chops... a combination that surely become his production trademark. EP closes with a remix signed by Studio Barnhus' lover boy Kornél "Koko" Kovacs, producer whose music has that special humorous touch Janis found endearing. Kornél takes the elements of the funky original, turning it in a driving dub that only emphasizes funny moments and playful atmosphere, which only makes this a perfect music match.
But enough with the words; it's time for sounds to speak for themselves. Spin that record!

Tracklist: A1: Homeboy - Hula Hoop A2: Janis - Movin Up B1: Oliver Achatz - Express B2: Homeboy - Hula Hoop (Sleazy McQueen Remix)
House Is OK! House Is OK! House Is OK!
Third and last part of the "We Make Music" series has finally arrived and just right on time as Janis, Oliver Achatz and Homeboy deliver the perfect soundtrack for the summer, accompanied by a new friend, east-coast disco honcho Sleazy McQueen, assigned for remix duties.
Homeboy opens with one of his most cheerful works so far. "Hula Hoop" is a lot of things: it's Disco, it's House and it's as happy as Croatian dance music specialist can get. It starts with a heavy piano riff that gets doubled by the occasional disco synth, which works since Tee Scott first went into the studio. The chorus gets really cheesy. So cheesy, that the fat almost drops from it, yet the rough 707 drums and distorted bass keeps things on the floor. After the psychedelic breakdown, keyboard virtuoso Alexander Ismailovski shoots you right back from space to heaven.
This is where you meet Janis and he takes you even further with "Movin' Up". The stomping house beat strikes like thunder as the filtered swirling under it makes you open up your disco shirt and raise your arm like Travolta. This is no song for the shy dancers; this is peak time dance floor craziness! Do your boogie and shake that booty like your momma told 'ya! The flip starts with "Express", Oliver Achatz' love train. Arpeggios chuckling like a locomotive, drums tight as the railway and the ueber-funky bassline invites you to the disco wagon, where the air smells of sweet perfume and the music is in control of your body and soul. This combo drives you safely to the break, where the vocals take over and prove once more, that Oli is a lover, not a fighter. Just be careful when you drop this bomb on the dance floor, the endorphin explosion might be heavy.
As with the first two parts, the compilation is closed by a guest remix. Boys asked Sleazy McQueen to put his fingers on Homeboy's "Hula Hoop". He turned the happy upbeat to a slow riding disco monster. The moroderish euro bass arp will surely shake up festival dance floors this summer. The perfect secret weapon for any open air party, when the mind opens up to nature and the body moves all night long to sexy dance music under the glowing full moon. This is the last part of the "We Make Music" trilogy and the last release before the summer break. The trio wishes you a blasting summer and will return with more music in autumn. Do your dance to the rhythm! More

A1: Oliver Achatz - L.A. Cure A2: Homeboy - Kim B1: Janis - While You Were Dancing B2: Oliver Achatz - L.A. Cure (Dynamodyse wears L.A. Gear Rework)
After a well received debut Zagreb/Frankfurt based House Is OK trio returns with the 2nd part of the "We Make Music" compilation. Once again Oliver Achatz, Janis & Homeboy deliver three deep house gems which should shake up the house, this time accompanied with a remix from Dynamodyse. Oliver Achatz opens with L.A. Cure. Melodic, deep and jazzy, a perfect tune for any DJ who calls himself a serious chap, but it would also fit perfectly to lazy evenings on Venice Beach, a perfect soundtrack for the deep and red sunsets over the pacific that cure the mind and feed the soul. Summer can be endless if you only want to imagine it! Homeboy comes with a sample house vibe on this one. He chopped up an old macedonian disco classic from Kire Mitrev and built it to a refreshing deep house hymn that gives you a reminder of the days when house and hip hop met somewhere in between. After the spaced out break it explodes to a soulful monster that can make you cry on the dancefloor. Have your handkerchiefs ready! The flip starts with Janis' "While You Were Dancing". And while you danced, Janis spent time in his studio and created what we'd call "headphone" house. Granular soundstructures, swirling over a casual square bassline lead to heavy jazz chords that bring you in an instant chill mode. Serious business over here! Some might know Dynamodyse from his releases on Belgian super label "We Play House Recordings". The maestro closes, with an old school take on L.A. Cure. He took the 808 drumloop and constructed a hypnotic chord sequence around it. While the deep bassline pumps out the hell of the speakers, Dynamodyse reminds us that "minimal" never was a genre, but a feeling most likely. A house music feeling. This is the 2nd part of the "We Make Music" triology, so watch out, the final and last part is soon to come.

Tracklist: A1: Janis - Mind Made Up A2: Homeboy - Sedam B1: Oliver Achatz - It Won't Last B2: Janis - Mind Made Up (The Citizen's Band Remix)
Newly established music connection House is OK from Frankfurt and Zagreb is raising the roof with the upcoming We Make Music Vol. 1 release. Get into the party mode with Janis, Oliver Achatz, Homeboy and The Citizen's Band this December. We Make Music opens with JANIS 'Mind Made Up'; a reminder of the early Frankfurt House sound with a scent of the Soylent Green Remixes from the late 90ties. A distorted Techno siren that evolves over a tough and jacking 909 groove and finally leads into blissful deepness. Homeboy, who got some attention with his playful Hypercolour release, brings out the edgier and deeper sound in 'Sedam'; a track based on the elements of classic House, whilst breaking the borders through its arrangement and musical form. The jazzy synth riff that locks to a hypnotic 7/4 groove is what makes this track a quality gem. Previous support on Jimpsters Freerange podcast shall suffice as evidence. The flip-side starts with Oliver Achatz' track: 'It Won't Last'. Oli, being the sentimental one in this joint, proves that House music can work with a very sensual touch. The smooth and warm use of analogue synth lines combined with suggestive vocal samples, are played over a steadily drifting rhythm. This compound, of an almost meditative nature, will provide the perfect atmosphere for early morning club hours. The Citizen's Band, one half of Arto Mwambe, closes the compilation with a remix of Janis' "Mind Made Up". TCB shows that a track doesn't need much to get the crowd jumping and the party working, by returning the tune to its basic elements and making it a club banger for the "heads". We Make Music Vol. 1' is only the first out of the three upcoming releases set to shake your solid house ground.
