“I Do It,” the A1, is a 90s R&B jam—imagine Aaliyah—recontextualized into an acid-flecked big-room chugger. “Do It,” which follows, starts on the same foot, but strips the vox and charges straight into business, upping the BPM a smidge along the way. Then, “B3,” a nimble, electric ditty that fits its percussion squarely at the front and center of the mix, making it into a subversively deadly drum track. Rounding out the record is Baltra's version of “B3,” which takes the essence of the original and wraps it tight in atmospheric wigginess. The clattering drums & undulating bassline of 'Sniper' give way to warping mentasms that evoke memories of some of the earliest strains of dance music from acid house to jungle tekno and hardcore.

'No Shoes on The Carpet' speeds things up and doffs it's cap to the ragga jungle of the mid 90's as well as the first strain of what would become drum & bass with the deep, diving bassline recalling classics from the Philly Blunt & V Recs back catalogues.

This is no holds barred dancefloor weaponry of the highest calibre.

From the ashes of revered drum & bass project Ulterior Motive rises the phoenix of Settle Down, the new solo moniker for Greg Hepworth. He takes things back to where it all began, channeling the rude spirit of early jungle for his debut single on E-Beamz.

What is Real, a collaboration with FD, is the classic combo of jittery breaks and warm, rumbling sub bass. Throw in some dub sirens and sweet female vocal cuts and you have a tried and tested recipe for some dancefloor delight - horns crew!

'Sub Bias' is a more sinister affair with the reverbed snare rolls blending with a deep, drone bassline and menacing, gutteral stabs.

Mutant rave soundscapes, scattering drums breaks & pounding kicks combine to create an EP chock full of hard hitting energy for DJ Decay's first solo outing on E-Beamz, after his appearance on the Continuum-z compilation.

'Rinse in Brie', glistening with menace, threatens to explode in a flurry of hard techno kicks and hats but rolls into scattering amens that glide across the thunderous bass tones as it weaves it's way to a folornly euphoric ending, whilst Tuna Mup pairs lo-fi funk breaks with soft pad swells and eerie atmospheres.

The b side is more traditonal, harder Techno. 'Hope Diffusion' takes the old funk of the a2 and pins it to a whirlwind of kicks and snares while the intimadting reese of 'Seethe Mode' gives way to more playful trace synths as the track progresses.
