Respected Leipzig based multi-instrumentalist Panthera Krause arrives on KANN with New Age appeal! Delving into a more mysterious sound than the label is commonly known, the artist draws from the dark side of the pool, taking in Baltic choir inspirations, 80s cinema themes (Tarantino's favourite) and lyrical GDR rock for good measure. Produced in secrecy over the past 12 months, Krause gets in touch with his inner Stereolab by creating an enchanting new full length entirely on headphones. Drip fed to those close to him over the past year, he was convinced to share these audiobooks to a wider audience, now resulting to: Aside The Aeons. Adding almost only sounds from Korg M3R, Roland Aeorophon and a JX 03 synthesizer to the action - the record explores an unique musical universe and head trip for the astral plane.

Catz ‘N Dogz continue to roll out their PETS sub label STEP Recordings and follow up a slew of soulheavy
dance records from Baltra, Reno Wurzbacher and The Analog Roland Orchestra with a solo EP
from fellow Polish producer Universo. With previous appearances on Transatlantyk, the auspicious
newcomer slots neatly into the STEP catalogue in presenting his ‘Underworld’ EP: a package of softly
glowing lo-fi that fans of Baltra’s recent ‘Sophia’ EP on STEP will relish.
Underworld then unfolds at a steady, hypnotic pace as moody, interlocking chords and paired up with
a gentle spoken vocal that work together to create a poignant, eyes-down mood. Icy strings and a
trippy spoken are introduced before ‘Kora Buta’ follows up with some warm, swooning sample work.
‘Sleeper’ is next up as distant, meandering thumb pianos and rainy textures colour the tracks fuzzy
drums while a glassy, Legowelt-esque pad glides overhead.‘Frequenza’ kicks things off a soft, sizzling
pad sent ducking under a rock-hard kick drum.

Catz ‘n Dogz ready the next 12” on their vinyl only PETS raw and refined offshoot - STEP. This comes
in the follow up to records from A1 Bassline, Eduardo De La Calle, Andre Kronert and the label owners
themselves and marks the return Das Komplex who offers up his ‘All For Love’ LP.
Hailing from Koszalin in Poland, Das Komplex is undoubtedly an artist of many talents - a full time
Architect by trade, he has released material on Father And Son Records and Tapes label and also
offered up the extolled and coveted 6th pressing on the STEP imprint back in August 2015 - a record
that sold out rapidly after hitting the shelves. Now - his return marks the first foray into long-play format
for STEP and allows Das Komplex to stretch his legs across 8 masterful Disco grooves.
D¿em kicks things off to a sunny start with sizzling guitar licks and softly pattering bongos before the
slick Italo-tinged ‘Obelisk’ and the richly atmospheric ‘Redukcja Dysonansu Poznawczego’ follow up.
The project spreads out towards the jubilant and dreamy ‘All For Love’ which leads into ‘Brukiew’ - an
introverted but ultimately feel-good conclusion that wraps up a beautifully balmy collection and another
coup for STEP.

London born, Brighton residing Christian Piers is a man of many guises. As one half of Laszlo Dancehall (alongside Leon Vynehall) he’s impressed with a steady and reliable stream of forward-thinking releases and remixes. However, he’s maybe best known by many for his bass-heavy house outings as A1 Bassline and is currently enjoying the buzz surrounding his new artist album ’Technicality’. Today he changes faces once again as he presents a new EP under his own name. 'Sambos Sub' is Christian’s inaugural EP on STEP, the limited vinyl label of Catz ’n Dogz. It also sees him continue a strong run of EPs under his own name for the likes of Curle Recordings, Dusky's 17 Steps and his own imprint, SOURCEUNKNWN.
