lee burridge & lost dessert - Hinduma
Lost Desert and Lee Burridge return to Get Weird with an EP aimed squarely at the dance floor. K Bug’ is a steam train slowly gathering pace as it moves forward. The chugging groove and fat bassline has been whipping the crowd in to a frenzy everywhere it's dropped. Hinduma’ is a tracks that causes the mouth to contort while mouthing out the wonky synth line. And ‚Reply To Sender’ is a slow burner with a trippy ethnic melody and a drop that goes all mystical. Three tracks for the clubs.

joseph ashworth - Falling
2
joseph ashworth - Dominika
Get Weird does love a tune that conjures up the feeling of or suits being played out in the desert. Falling’ does just that. It was built to be played outdoors with it's spacious vibe and tight groove. Joseph's a perfectionist and refined the production sound many times before finally giving us the pleasure of releasing it.
Dominika’ is lighter. Pretty and fun. It brings a smile to our faces every time. Enjoy Joseph Ashworth’s ‚Falling EP’ indoors or out. Nighttime or by day. More

george x - In My Dream
GeorgeX brings a poised balance and combination to his tracks of melancholic sounds over more aggressive beats. The titles reflecting a journey that took him to musical places unimagined in his studio beforehand. Music is the pathway to his dreams while sunny days in Greece also inspire certain feelings in his sound. Emotionally charged 'The bridge' features spacious zitar lines and emotive strings that send you upward while the rough and ready groove keeps your feet on the ground. "In my dream' sprinkles a lighter more airy atmosphere over the dance floor drawing the listener in to it's hypnotic spell.

kaled - The Field And The Sun
2
kaled - Nemo
3
kaled - Midnight Sun
Tunisian Kaled shows depth, range and rudiments beyond his early-man status. A deep musical spirit with a penchant for poignancy, taste for theatre and strong sense of restraint, there’s a timeless evocative feel running throughout each of these three unhurried, subtly-orchestrated gems. ‘The Field & The Sun’ sets the scene; a palpitating progressive beat is laced with strident string strikes that build layer upon layer, creating a cushion for a goosebump-inducing late-entering piano line. ‘Nemo’, meanwhile, finds itself in the midst of another swooning set of strings. Ignited by a percussive pebbledash and leading with the distinctive middle eastern instrumentation, the backbone is maintained by a devilishly simple and hypnotic synth riff that holds everything together. Quite whether you’ll be able to hold yourself together during the finale ‘Midnight Sun’ is another question. A powerful, mourning stomper that really pulls with its pink sky melancholy, slow-burning string chords, rising synth line and subtle counter melodies, it’s that unifying set-piece you didn’t even know you were looking for. Classy, measured, dramatic; ‘The Field & The Sun’ is a confident opening move that leaves us wanting more. Get Weird? Get involved…

c. vogt & patrick jeremick - Ekstasis
C.Vogt's and Patrick Jeremics minds work in loopy circles. Endless grooves that take you off in to the wild blue. Vilá is by far the strongest of the bunch. Capturing that moment where the sun peaks over the horizon in some far off land. Reminiscent of the days when trance wasn't a dirty word. Vice takes you up in to a place where people's faces beam with positive emotion. Trippy melodies roll the track ever forward while snapshot samples of the cops radio communications drift in and out of the tight groove.
Ekstasis is a head nodding, eyes closed journey towards your inner self. Listen to the guru and do what he says. Get Weird People! More

hauy - Your Way To Paradise
2
hauy - Amanita
3
hauy - Blue Moon
Hailing from Brazil and since moved to Toronto Get Weird welcomes Hauy. Music crafted to be played in the clubs or the deserts, these three tracks chart an important journey for Hauy. Each a part of his recent journey and growth. Amanita is a magic mushroom (Amanita Muscaria) that took him to a place where he felt no longer with the living. A place of truth where he would no longer lie to himself. After finding his truth and coming back to the land of the living, he decided to express the feelings of his journey through his music. He further pondered what it all meant. The initial darkness of the trip and its aftermath, gave way to a more positive light. As he felt more and more positive, another song floated in to his mind. Your way to paradise is the sunrise after the darkness. Blue Moon wasn’t originally a part of this musical journey but now seems relevant to represent how he felt before the experience, as a part of his full circle, completing a personal expedition and exploration to our latest release.

dance spirit - Solar Flare Response
Raining Colors" was recorded after returning from the BPM season in Mexico. Inspired by the slow Tempos and crazy rhythms heard while dancing at the Sacbe Jungle Party this was the result.
Remembrance Of Breath was created for our performance before last years Desert Hearts. We felt it would compliment the surroundings of this wonderful outdoor festival. Solar Flare response was originally created for fun using our friend, Colin C's, Alchemy Plug-In sound pack “Essential Alchemy" for Loopmasters. We were so excited with how it turned out we decided to turn it into a full piece. These songs reflect the deeper and heavier side of our creative output and the kind of music we enjoy playing at night after the freaks come out. More

tim green - For A Memory
2
tim green - For A (Distant) Memory
Tim Green is back with another brace of high impact club tunes of the sort that have made him one of the most in demand producers of the day. Whether serving up rolling techno treats for Cocoon, essential mixes for the Body Language series on Get Physical or laying down compelling club sets in the DJ booth, Brit Tim Green is unstoppable right now. Here he steps up to the Get Weird imprint with two more tantalising cuts that show just how broad and brilliant an artist he is. Stirring opener ‘For A Memory’ is eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. The overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. Some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from Green. ‘For A Distant Memory’ is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. In this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out. It is a perfectly trance inducing, heart warming cut that the likes of Lee Burridge at his All Day I Dream parties, or various DJs playing on a sun kissed terrace around the globe, will all lap right up.
