Rolling, rhythmic bassline and flickering synth lines over tight drums on ”7”, stab synths rise out of the raw depths on ”77”. On the flip ”7” get a remix treatment by SKUDGE who transforms the track into a raw and dubby techno tool. The EP ends with ”777”, a beatless melancholic track with emotionally and fuzzing pads that drifts towards the horizon.

RAAM follows up his two earlier EP´s with some warm, gritty and analogue fuzz. The EP starts with PADME which is a heavy and chord driven techno track. A thick synth stab is building up over a tight 909-beat, wooden percussion to a big crescendo which makes this track a peak time banger. On the flip PADME gets some remix treatment by ART ALFIE from the mighty KARLOVAK label. Here the synth stab is beeing dubbed out so it rolls like the sound of distant thunder over a fat and chunky beat. The result is a fine, dark and driving house track that really works the club. The EP ends with CREST which is a warm, deeply floating house track with a subtle disco flair.

Raam Records is founded by acclaimed producer and DJ Elias Raam. Elias started out producing and DJ'ing in the mid-nineties. As part of Slippery People he collaborated with legends such as Leroy Burgess and Adeva. Later on he explored a darker electronic analogue world in the duo Arken, releasing on Sonar Kollektiv. He is currently part of the duo Ultracity along with fellow producer Yourhighness of Rollerboys. As Ultracity they have spent years producing music for Rollerboys Recordings as well as doing remixes for artists such as Peak Twins NYC (Dither Down), Jon Dasilva & Donald Waugh (Rush Hour), Son Of Sound (Under The Shade), Jens Lekman, Nottee, Kisses etc. The imprint RAAM RECORDS is a label for analogue music mainly from Scandinavia, stretching from the melancholic and deep to the dark and gritty. First out on RAAM RECORDS is a three track 12" by Elias himself. A1 Oblique is a slow warm techno track worthy of any Theo Parrish DJ-set. On the flip you'll find B1 Third Rail which is an oscillating shuffler with Detroit influences, pumping a pad deep down your basement. B2 Devious is that extra track, bringing a different flavour to the record with an epic arpeggio and live bass, all held into place by a disco-not-disco drum programming.
