Track list 12":
1. Qui Vive
2. Feet Locked
3. Persistent Prick
Info:
Cosmin TRG's Fizic is proud to present its first 2017 release, from an exciting new name. Serb is born and raised in Craiova, Romania, where he spent his youth playing guitar in Nihilistic, a local punk band. In 2014 he released his debut 12" on Transient Recs. His sophomore record is a prime example of his unique, cerebral take on dance music.
Qui Vive is a somber, syncopated elegy of rugged elegance, with fizzy drums and percution filtering in and out over the fragile melody. Feet Locked is analog honey poured into your post-rave ear. After-glow synths follow an expertly modulated bass. Finally, Persistent Prick echoes the esotheric explorations of Actress, with added twisted funk.
Serb's impressive talent and exuberance flow through his music, expect more from our new signing in the very near future.
Qui Vive arrives on Fizic on March 24, 2017 (12"/ Digital)

Serb - Half O' Clue
In 2015 we stumbled across an EP by a low-profile Romanian producer, which retrospectively was a pivotal event for the development of the label. This record was Serb's 'Transient Recs 1', released via Listen2me from Bucharest. We were deeply touched by the harsh and progressive sound of the tunes, which at the same time were so musical.
After a remix for Fehlzuendung and his LP 'A12 Proceedings' in 2018, things are coming full circle in 2021 as ?erb returns to NDR with 'Transient Recs 2', a collection of tracks produced between 2015 and 2018.

cosmin trg - Oblic (Minor Science Non-Newtonian Fluid mix)
Track list 12" - Digital:
1. Serpenti (Remixed by Lucy)
2. Oblic (Minor Science's Non-Newtonian Fluid Mix)
Info:
The fifth installment of Cosmin TRG's Fizic comes in the shape of two lethal remixes from some of the most innovative artists in the field, Lucy and Minor Science. Lucy takes Serpenti's mystical energies and blends them into a digital ritual of tectonic plate-shifting drums, sizzling textures and hypnotic patterns. Highly seductive and authoritative transmission from the Stroboscopic Artefacts school of thought.
Oblic sees its exuberant shimmer and ricochet rhythms reinterpreted with scientific precision by Minor Science (Trilogy Tapes, Whities). The result is a hyper-modern, high-octane excursion with deep fluid bass drums, expert percussion and soaring synths.
Oblic/ Serpenti Remixes arrive on Fizic in September 2016 in Digital and Vinyl Formats.
Lucy's remix mastered by Giovanni Conti at Artefacts Mastering
Minor Science's remix mastered by. Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering,
Original cover artwork by Cosmin Nicolae.

cosmin trg - oblic
2
cosmin trg - serpenti
Track list 12
1. Oblic 2. Serpenti
Info:
There is significantly more than a scintilla of exuberance on Cosmin TRG's first 2016 venture on his own Fizic imprint. Number four in the series further explores the dense textures present on last year'sIIIEP, but largely dispenses with the ennui in favour of a different discourse.
Oblic offers a brisk groove that ebbs and flows among graphite-thin layers of percussion and sonic debris. The recurring dust sample amplifies the vigorous rhythmic attributes of the track, rendering it withprime dance floor capabilities.
Serpenti takes distant sparkles of mutant chimes, wraps them around the relentless pulse of thudding kick drum and soaks everything in static. Granules and grit are extracted from circuitry with a focus on razor sharp sound system efficiency.
Oblic/ Serpenti arrives on Fizic end of March in Digital and Vinyl Formats. Produced by Cosmin TRG, transformed by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering, with original artwork from Cosmin himself.

Track list 12"
A1. Sever A2. Redus
B1. Sirena B2. Motoric
Info:
Late October will find Cosmin TRG's Fizic label release its third EP, and a second missive for 2015. Once again it comes from the Romanian label owner and ever evolving producer, and this time features four more fierce cuts that take abstract inspiration from musique concrete or Ballard's High Rise novel. Opener 'Sever' is an expertly stripped back bit of concrete basement funk with scurrying alien sounds, frosted lo-fi textures and firmly rooted, propulsive kick drums driving the whole thing along. It's an absorbing affair full of distant menace, and then comes 'Redus', a hunched over, forceful dub track again riddled with abstract lifeforms, distorted radio frequencies and muffled sirens that all bristle and brim with sonic debris. 'Sirena' is once more built upon thudding, firm kicks but here synths howl and spray about like a UFO in a storm, a harmonic hook rocks back and forth and modulated lines add life and depth to the burrowing groove. Lastly, 'Motoric' goes arctic, with cavernous chambers of sound full of echo and reverb as kicks thump out a groove. It's a fourth and final bit of physical music informed by the musical and visual noir undertones of Under the Skin, cementing a robust alliance between form and function.

cosmin trg - uzura

cosmin trg - vitriol
Tracklist 12" - Digital: 1. Uzura 2. Vitriol
Info: After a period of studio hibernation, Cosmin TRG is back with another pair of killer modular techno tracks on his own label, Fizic. Released both digitally and on vinyl end of April, they are a timely reminder of the former Rush Hour and 50 Weapons producer's singular sound. As ever with Cosmin, these tracks mark a subtle evolution in sound but continue to take cues from influences as diverse as the foreign north and Japanese futurism. Up first is 'Uzura', which starts with a brutal and blistering wall of rhythmical white noise. When drums do drop in, the fuzzy, scuzzy intensity remains and listeners are propelled along a frosty horizon with slithering synths, frazzled sirens and hiccuping percussive sounds adding to the heady sense of techno intensity. On the flip, 'Vitriol' is slower and more purposeful but is just as abstract and alien. There's a sense of distance in the spiralling pads, fierceness in the high stomping drums and a mangled acid line eventually acts as a main focal point. Shades of drone, industrial and dark wave also feature in this perfectly vicious track. Dragging you ever deeper down the rabbit hole, this is a arresting EP of hugely textural techno that will surely dissociate and dislocate minds and bodies whenever it is dropped.

"Fizic is the next natural step for accomplished techno producer Cosmin TRG. Having released on an influential array of labels in the last few years, the Romanian is now branching out on his own with an imprint that will serve as a further extension of himself, his sonic preferences and his interest in artistic imagery. Releasing esoteric techno aimed largely at the dancefloor and purely from his own studio, Fizic releases will come accompanied with Cosmin's own photography as well as occasional videos. Coming in both vinyl and digital format, the label serves as a combination of a need for a more personal, dedicated approach, a desire for artistic freedom and is born from "a slightly egocentric tendency, with the sole purpose of creating unique, high quality audio-visual products."
After a non stop couple of years that has seen him release two full lengths and countless EPs on labels like Rush Hour, 50 Weapons and Running Back, idiosyncratic producer and DJ Cosmin TRG is now minting his own new label Fizic. The inaugural release sets the tone for the imprint perfectly with two heavyweight slabs of deep, texturally rich techno in the form of 'Repetetiv' and 'Vernacular'.
Recent times have seen this Romanian branch out ever further down his own unique production path. His sound is rooted in techno but takes its cues from things as diverse as ambient, Japanese futurism, the frozen North and, of course, the dancefloors around the world that he entertains on a regular basis.
First up, 'Repetetiv' has firm, monstrous kick drums down low and an eerie brew of industrial signifiers, blurting machine sounds and scurrying percussion up top. It's heady, intense stuff that is as unsettlingly paranoid as it is compelling spacious and seems to grow ever more strident as things roll on. On the flip, 'Vernacular' is a gnarly cut with urgent, slamming kicks, restless and raw hi hats and rattling industrial hooks that place you at the centre of some darkened late night warehouse.
Sure to immediately find favour with those in the know, Fizic01 is another feather in the already resplendent bow of this modern day tastemaker.
