Kranglan EP by Harald Björk is the first record to be released on Kranglan Broadcast. The record holds three productions of pure naïve emotions, Kranglan, Cykeltur and Skvaltan that together summarise memories of childhood surroundings and its environmental changes.
The record is manufactured in a production of 500 pieces 12" vinyls that comes with a full colour LP-sleeve.
The artwork is made by the German illustrator Kheira Linder known from working with a wide spectrum of creators from Swedish indie-bands to German MTV and VIVA. The artwork is based on an idea by Harald Björk and pictures of the Nacka nature reserve taken by photographer Jesper Tengwall.
A video made by Swedish Jossystem will be released in connection with the launch of the EP. The work of Jossystem is also to be seen in the earlier videos of Harald Björk and not at least during his live performances.

Lost for 30 years - The revolutionary album by one of dance music's most influential producers finally sees the day of light! Patrick Cowley (1950-1982) remains one of Disco's most influential artists and a key producer of the genre. With seminal hits like "Do You Wanna Funk", "Menergy" and "Megatron Man", his work for Disco superstar Sylvester and of course his million-selling remix of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love", he created the soundtrack for a whole generation. Artists like Depeche Mode, The Pet Shop Boys and New Order cite him as a major influence. With a whole new global Disco afficionado scene, now playing his records every weekend accross the world's clubs, this release is about to hit the streets right on time.
It's nothing less then a "once in a lifetime" sensation that Macro announces the release of a full unreleased Cowley album, written and performed in collaboration with Indoor Life vocalist Jorge Socarras. No re-issue, no material scrapped by the artists - but a work Cowley took 5 years to perfect! The original release got delayed for 3 decades due to Cowley's tragic death due to AIDS in 1982.
Recorded between 1976 and 1979, "Catholic" is a genre-bending concept album with a range from minimalistic proto-techno to synth-driven post-punk - pre-dating LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture by almost 30 years. It was in fact so way ahead of anything known at the time that it wouldn't sound retro if it was recorded just now. It shows a much broader range than any Cowley or Socarras material available and gives a totally new perspective to one of the most inspiring eras in music history.
The album will hit the stores for Patrick Cowley's birthday on October 19th, 2009.

After the first and more technoid single release from his album "dusty dance" Monsieur Knopf satisfies his longing for real House with single no.2 "crazy about". R&B singer Camara’s soulful voice leaves quite an impression on this powerful beat. In “skinny bitches” Marcel Knopf processes insane nights: you just want to drink a beer in your favourite pub but then you meet a couple of friends and they take you to the worst disco in town. This high-energy track is uncompromising and must be played during peak time and not during warm-up sets or after-hours.

Who are these guys behind the pseudonyms? Good Guy Mikesh and Filburt are two music lovers... FULL STOP! Two independent acts that met in Leipzig and began to merge their musical creative capacities two years ago. A convolution of disco, pop and house, propagating one of Leipzig's most promising collaborative developments. Good Guy Mikesh has haunted Leipzig's contemporary underground for a long time. From the beginning of his musical career, his singles (published on Lebensfreude Records and Broque.de) have signified an eclectic mix of pop, soul and disco. Filburt - Dj, record store owner and Leipzig club scene veteran, was consequently Good Guy Mikesh's best possible accomplice in the mission to break fresh ground. This mixture of soul, disco and house-pop is IT, charged by the duo's certain something - an energy sought for not only in this town, but throughout the whole scene. "Someone Told Me", their latest single, has been causing an outbreak of contagious enthusiasm in the scene since its release on PERMANENT VACATION this summer. RB presents: The Underground Sound of Helsinki!
Finland's hardest working DJ Lil Tony is no stranger to people who spent the last 15 years with house music. Part of Nu-Spirit Helsinki, the powerful Future Beat Investigators and the driving force of the city's pulsating club scene, this man did it right from start to finish (no pun intended). Recently, Tony started to flex his muscles as a solo artist as well with recordings for Innervisions, Versatile or Mood Music and most of all the inspired jacking re-work of Arthur Russell's Treehouse that the RB office is still jealous of. Blindfolded we would have declared on oath to listen to a missing Ron Hardy rework. But to move on to pastures new, The Underground Sound of Helsinki EP is also a kind of a lost gem with its roots house approach. Three big tracks from Lil Tony: Mona evokes gentle feelings of rough classics from the vaults of Steve Poindexter, Armando and Mike Dunn or all the other cats living in oblivion - ruff, rugged and raw. Saturday Morning is a perfect mood builder and does what straight house music does best, while Employee Only spreads as much optimism and hope as it multiplies those feelings of melancholy just house can evoke to make sad people happy. Subterranean vault music with a fine ear for the action.

Co-producer of the lastest Tiefschwarz`s bomb "Trust" and full-time member of Souvenir, Philipp "Santé" Maier spent the summer with Ali and Basti on the road, every time warmly praised by the crowds of Fabric in London, Watergate and Weekend in Berlin or Sonar Festival in Barcelona for his highly physical live-set. Production-wise, Santé champions a 360° approach, housy and percussive with Souvenir016, ethno and minimal dub with "Dambalaa" bringing together a endless and diversified list of supporters: Richie Hawtin, Radioslave, Dubfire, Ben Watt, Luciano, Chris Liebing etc….But Santé, together with Adam Port, Rampa or &ME is also part of a new school of producers from Berlin, all fully dedicated to the delights of foot-stomping, straight- and four-to-the-Dancefloors and already gathered under the standard of Souvenir Booking. So for this 22nd release on vinyl, Ali and Basti clinked for the third time glasses with Santé, but this time, they chopped the magnum, and offered their round to Rampa, Re.You and David Mayer."B", what a strange name for A-Side! But something strikes from the first listening. The track co-produced with his brother Marius newly re-called Re.You is as much a perfect match for peak-times as for after parties. The bouncy beats bangs together with the hypnotic loops and would compel anyone to an unstoppable stomp, barely slowed down by the breaks. What time is it? The time to B! Together with Rampa, responsible for a remarkable EP for Keinemusik and a brilliant Remix for Get Physical, Santé knows also how to pump new energy in the house with the refreshing Aura on the flipside. The kick starts, metronomical and accurate, heralding an entrancing vocal sample. Slightly enriched by spacy synths and dub effects, Aura spreads all over its seven minutes an equally mystic and uplifting atmosphere. Founding member of Keinemusik, David Mayer pitch up the bpm of Aura, robotized it with electro effects and turns the sample vocals into catchy vocoders. Sweaty crowds 100% Guaranteed!
