Gel Abrl was missing on Be As One for a long time now, 2 years that he spent consolidating his ever-growing career with originals and remixes on Strictly Rhythm, Get Physical, Paragraph and playing all around the world in the best events and clubs. Angola is destined to be another stormer from Gel as this is a proper follow up to his classic "Spells of Yoruba", stripped down techno beats with an ethnic flavour, it's another hit for the Israeli producer. "Changes" subtle hypnotizing mood and its almost laid back approach will fit well in many record boxes, perfect for keeping the floor moving and grooving.

Sebastian has followed such an impressive path that it?s hard to believe that he?s only now releasing his long-awaited debut album. But the facts are clear: after several EPs (H.A.L, Smoking Kills, Ross Ross Ross, Motor), a record compiling his many remixes for Daft Punk, Kelis and the Kills among others (Sebastian Remixes) and a co production of the soundtrack for the film Steak with Sebastien Tellier and Mr Oizo, in which he also played one of the leading roles. Ever elusive, he unveiled yet another side of his creativity in composing a philharmonic score for Notre Jour Viendra, Romain Gavras? first film. One of the creators, along with Justice, of the Ed Banger sound, he is without a doubt the label?s most unusual figure. An iconoclast maverick he readily defies the rules to deliver a dirty and violent kind of techno that coughs and spits; music to his image: human and visceral. Super prolific and constantly effervescent this musician has managed, in the space of a few years, to redefine electronic music and is ready to astound everyone once again with TOTAL, a definitive and meteoric first album.

From now on, the duo's ascent was constant and then lightning struck: remixes for N.E.R.D, Britney Spears, Franz Ferdinand, U2, Daft Punk, Lenny Kravitz and an EP in 2006 (" Waters Of Nazareth ") defining the "Justice sound", this famous ultra-powerful compression of pop and baroque melodies, both dark and threatening; lightning and animative; and above all the famous Justice image, the cross from which an earlier version figures on the first EP. 2007 was the explosion that will turn the duo into the emblem of a whole generation: their first album "†", anticipated like the Messiah, holds all the promises, and swept everything away as an epic soundtrack. "†" is more than a magnificent synthesis of our time: its potential definition. 800 000 sales worldwide and 4 years later, the album is considered as a mainstay of the 2000s puzzled and tonic, one of the few who bridged the gap from Pitchfork world to MTV without losing its credibility.

Argy, - Ethiopia's Rise

3
Lee Van Dowski, - Bimbam
Making unstoppable waves within the electronic music world over the last few years, Greek artist Argy's expertly produced and hypnotic productions are combined with an innate ability to create seductive and highly strung soundscapes during his DJ performances. An unmissable combination, it is with great pleasure that we welcome Argy for his Cadenza debut alongside Lee Van Dowski for the 'Ethiopia's Rise / Bimbam' EP. Marching with shoulders back and head held high, Cadenza's newest recruit treads calculatingly between the?streaming light shafts and echoing potholes of his latest creation - 'Ethiopia's Rise'. Coaxing us into the fury?of the night, its creatures play with hollow synth swoops, metallic sparks and snarling drums. A soundscape?that appears to have been created for wild imaginations and underground basements alike, it is fuelled with?mystical suspense and arrogant beats; the depths of Argy's impeccable production skills on display for all to?see. Creeping ever forward with rhythmic allure, corners are turned, alley's explored and shadows chased.?As the dust settles and the creatures retreat, 'Ethiopia's Rise' and all its chaos descend into a hazy morning ?memory. Argy is tag teamed by Lee Van Dowski and 'Bimbam' on the other side. No stranger to the Cadenza outfit, Lee appeared alongside Luciano and Guy Gerber on the 'Versus' Ep in 2009. Here, his original and alternate versions of 'Bimbam' secure his seat as an artist we are proud to have onboard at Cadenza. 'Bimbam's' scratchy shakers and dewy key arrangements are merely a teasing intro into the driving beats and bemusingly sexy vocal that follows. Riding high with percussive groove and driving force, a spiralling thread of funk on 'Bimbam' winds further and further, sparks flying ferociously as rhythmic determination pushes faster and harder. It's impossible not to move to and makes the perfect partner for Van Dowski's 'Alternate' ego on the B2. Flirting with heavy techno kicks and dark stabbing chords, 'Bimbam's 'Alternate' partner screeches with the type of impulsive debauchery and eerie mind trips that Lee Van Dowski has become so frequently praised for.

Marc Antona, - Prohibition Circus
2
Marc Antona, - Fast Track
3
Marc Antona, - Home Rebels
It may only be three releases old, but Marc Antona's Dissonant imprint is fast becoming renowned for the quality of its releases. With all of them originating from the creative mind and fingers of Marc himself, this is of little surprise... As 003, "Not The Fool" still dominates the dancefloors, helped in no small way by its impressive Reboot remix, Marc readies himself to unleash 004 and this time its an Antona full house. With his new album "Rules Of Madness" due for release in September, Marc delivers a choice taster with the first of three vinyl Ep's. With the following two slated for release in August and September and with a 'live' mixed version of the album due to be available on CD, we are set for a fully-charged Antona summer, all kicking off today with 'Rules Of Madness - Part.1'. Contrary to its name, lead cut "Prohibition Circus" sees Marc in a far from confiscatory mood. Indeed, quite the opposite. We are being treated to a hell of a show. From the opening earth moving kick drum we're once again locked in a groove, as our Ring Master teases by dropping the rumbling bass, increasing the tension studiously and then feeding our craving with a wave of the flute, as the bass drops with gusto.
The bass continues to rule on "Fast Track." Whilst its name inspires haste, the slower tempo brilliantly serves to accentuate the raw power of Marc's bassline, underpinning the rolling onslaught of the drums. Never peaking, "Fast Track" effortlessly and ironically chugs throughout. From the diesel power of the previous cut to the delicate deepness of final track, "Home Rebels." The trademark bass throb is still present, yet its the xylophone melody
and sparkling percussive elements that draw us in, allowing us to lose ourselves within the track. Yet another world class performance from Marc and with it still only being release number 004 for Dissonant, we can only be excited at the thought of whats to come from both!

Get ready for a new stunning EP from Electric Deluxe Mastermind Speedy J! With Shoegaze EP Speedy J has created another incredible body of work. A snapshot of a?process, a form that emerges without intention - Half dreaming and half awake -?shaping relentlessly pulsing tracks, vibrant and effortlessly contemporary. The vinyl A side Shoegaze (Speedy J out of Focus Dub) takes you right into the core of Speedy J's massive production wizardry.?Amorphous drone sounds, dusty yet smooth and intimate, create a monumental space, while a pulsing sub-bass is luring you into the groove. The vinyl B side Shoegaze (Edits Select Dub) is up for serious dance floor damage.?A compressed yet heavy bass constantly rolling and pumping from below and the ethereal dub sounds create an amazing flowing driven and hypnotic beast of a track, which is already tearing up the dance floors world wide. Digitally Shoegaze EP goes beyond with two more bonus tracks & tools. Shoegaze (Edit Select Reviset) is starting off more ambient and atmospheric than the B side brother but gets a grip on you soon. Merciless pulsing bass and echoing drone sounds never cease to leave the dance floor out of focus. At last but not least Speedy J's Shoegaze (Tool) the distilled bones of Shoegaze. A piece achieving the seamless connection between usability and artistry. Speedy J's Shoegaze EP truly creates a nu gaze on modern Techno and the open ended dialogue between man and machine.

This summer Heidi brings her Jackathon concept to a new physical format!
The vinyl release features four exclusive tracks from Soul Clap, Deetron, Mathias Kaden feat. Gjaezon and Lauhaus & Kabale und Liebe feat. WKD and is an irresistible mixture full of raw funk, shaking out those grooves until you can't stop moving. Heidi's Jackathon parties started October 2010 as a concept to bring some new life into the dancefloor. She invited some of her favourite artists and friends to play alongside her and to make the crowds bounce in Berlin and then London. Now the Jackathon holds residencies in both cities, as well as Paris, Manchester and Amsterdam, and it has brought the jack to many cities around the world. The Jackathon is about energy and feeling and expressing something that lurks deep in the soul. The events have become a phenomenon due to their loose musical philosophy and family feel. Heidi felt now is the time to encapsulate its message and share it with the world. Keeping it in the family spirit, Heidi took The Jackathon compilation to her original home label, Get Physical, and the result is an invigorating journey into the roots of music culture it is influenced by the schools of 90's new york style hip hop and house and funk and explores new realms for jacking music. Soul Clap open the package with a slo-mo groovy number full of their typical funk and grind while Deetron delivers a rapturous cut aimed straight at the dancefloor. Exclusive collaborations come from Mathias Kaden feat Gjaezon, who bring bags of energy while Lauhaus & Kabale und Liebe team up for a closing pinch of dirty house music. Originally hailing from Ontario, Canada, Heidi moved to London in 2000 and was one of the creators of Phonica Records, known to many DJs as the best record store in the world. She was asked to host her own show on the prestigious BBC Radio 1 in 2008 and her forward thinking nature has continually shaped the musical horizon through this as she brought many of her peers and family to the airwaves.
Tracklisting:
A1 Soul Clap - Incoming Bitch (Get Low!)
A2 Deetron - The Juggler
B1 Mathias Kaden feat. Gjaezon - Jackathon
B2 Lauhaus & Kabale und Liebe feat. WKD - Who Called Kenny?

I guess it all started just after Baltimore Days" a noon at one of Hilton’s cafes. It was early February and the only thing I was sure about was the album’s title: "The Most Beautiful Girl". I had just finished putting together an mp3 compilation in Itunes with the worst tracks I had ever heard. I was trying to understand how can someone combine in such an awful way Do in the minor with Sol. Mi in the major with La.
Every night in youtube Blind Willie Johnson was singing the depression era blues "Black was the night, Cold was the Ground". The "Rainy Night In Georgia" was teaching me how simple a song could be, while Marvin Gay with "Inner City Blues" was reminding me that even 40 years later life is still cruel that "makes you wanna holler"…
I could stop at delta gospel and blues samples. I chose f***** reality. The broken story of a waitress somewhere in Nebraska, there, where the west begins. The desperation and extreme feelings of a looser in "That Kind Of Man". After an electric dubby version in March, I resolved in the tranquility of an almost unplugged, remorseful version. I could stay in just 10’’ of John Lee Hooker’s hobo chorus in the legacy of "Ladies and gentlemen Elvis left the building"….I chose the lyrics from a cutting edge tech sound. The acoustic guitar and the piano in the beginning of "Think of Me", the trumpets in "Shea Town" and M1 Korg’s I15 vibraphone in "Rain in 57th". Only a bossa could let me balance the lyrics in "Loving You". Something almost neutral next to Leave me there, close enough to the ocean…Something melancholic like the train in "Train comin".
Many times you result on something, you reach to a conclusion : Protection has no end… and you know that the only way to express this is a runaway blues like "Laetitia".
Today, 8 months later "The Most Beautiful Girl" looks like a musical sequence that started with "Tell Me About America" without being able to know when it will be finished…. Today, 8 months later I am sure that music cannot anymore be characterized with meaningless definitions like jazzy, bluesy, loungy and even worse, chill.
Today I spend my days drinking, smoking, wandering, stepping to the a.m.. And all the times I remember them saying: "honey you are the most beautiful girl, the most beautiful girl in the whole world…"

In the 15 tracks of his new album, Serafim Tsotsonis not only does not hesitate to reinvent his musical style, but decides to go deeper in the philosophy of electronica, using melodies, sounds and rhythms with a great amount of inspiration. In addition to that he goes further, using elements of the modern post-rock music scene and of the avant garde sound of the past decades. Serafim Tsotsonis does not follow the easy way, but he leads his music in experimental paths, without however leading to sound extremities, since his sensitivity as a composer, ensures the essential balance between the 'innovation' and 'classic'. Vocals are particularly important in his new album, as he does not only use them in the 'classical' fashion, but also as music instruments in the layout of his melodies. In order to achieve this result, Serafim Tsotsonis, collaborates with Elena Charbila of (Kid Moxie), Marien, Costa Dino, Willow Wieliczka, Zach (Ocean Mind), Angeliki Tsotsoni, Nadin and Dioni (Astyplaz).

Blue Pilots Project aka Thomas Kosidis is back with his second Album.
It's almost two years since the day that Thomas Kosidis made his debut release as Blue Pilots Project.
Suddenly he found himself carrying the prestige of the Greek electronica and carry it on the edges of the planet. 'Flight for everyone' has been extremely loved by the audience and the critics in Greece and internationally.
Two years after it's release, tracks like Take off, Guess, African Paths and Avandgarde still keep us company through the radio stations. An album of it's kind could only be followed with something equal. The moment has come and the second album for Blue Pilots Project titled 'Reboot' is here.
Thomas Kosidis chooses to step into the same musical paths with his previous project, combining electronica with music from all around the world and using into all these a psychedelic filter in order to make something unique, something labeled Blue Pilots Project. What makes a great impression from the very first moment is the feeling that you are somewhere among the instruments at the moment of the recording. The mastering by the hands and equipment of George Nomikos (Nomik) gives an amazing liveliness to the project and manages to boost every sound. Blue Pilots Project 'Reboot', it will definitely earn our hearts once more. TIP!

Alex Dimou, - One Of Us, One Of Them
Alex Dimou is a Greek producer born in 1988 and raised in Lamia, a small city in central Greece. If there’s one word that can describe Alex Dimou, that one would be without a doubt: Talent. Alex’s carreer into production started a couple of years ago in Athens, Greece, when he was only 18 years old (2007). But don’t let this fact trick you. Opposite to most people would think when reading a producer has been just two years in the scene, Alex has been improving incredibly fast since his first tracks .It was back in 2007 when Alex made his first track called "Mini-Man" in a deep, dark techno style that was just too good to stay unreleased in a noob’s computer. That was the begining and Mini-man won great success,as it has been supported by many famous djs like SASHA, NICK WARREN, DAVE SEAMAN, MARK KNIGHT, STEVE LAWLER, MARCO V, TGER STRIPES,FERGIE, BENNY BENASSI, EELKE KLEIJN, MAURIZIO GUBELLINI, MARIO OCHOA, CHRISTIAN CAMBAS, MASHTRONIC,TONE DEPTH, and NIKOS DIAMANTOPOULOS to name but a few!If that’s not enough, on February of 2008 the remixes of "Mini Man" came out charting 7 remixes out of 9 in the release. All of them reached high positions in Beatport’s genre charts. Not bad for a first track Since now, Alex had signed many contracts with labels as Devilock records, Elite records, Nuhar records, Suite Music records, Atlant digital records and Spectra records.
Nowadays Alex productions are tighter than ever, being signed by top Labels like: Plastic City, Klik Records, and being in the same releases along with names like: Robert Babicz, Babak Shayan (Soda Inc.), Nikos Diamantopoulos. Alex as the Sound Engineer he is, has been also doing mastering for lots of other’s productionsThe future looks bright for Alex as he has just released his debut full album on Klik Records gaining rave reviews from the very first moments and having his tracks constantly on airplays. For sure on of the scene's big names for the following years.

The Smokey Bandits is a 14 piece band that moves around a wide music range, from Gotan Project to Calexico, always using in a really imaginative way elements of the Greek and the Balkan music tradition giving a unique and dynamic character to their sound.
The Smokey Bandits project began on October 2007 in the Quasamoto studio in Athens and was finished on 2009’s February with the last compositions and mixes in Thessaloniki. Their sound is inspired by cult movies soundtracks from directors like Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Danny Boyle and Pedro Almodovar. The basic idea behind the Smokey Bandits music is to combine music from different decades or even better to give a modern approach to yesterday’s music so that the new generations could easier appreciate. The second idea is to blend 20th century traditional music from all over the world, starting from Greek - Balkan - Mediterranean and reaching Mexican - Surf - Western - Brazilian and Afro Latin.

In a world of crossover and remixes, Macro is the first electronic music label to release a CD of pure original works of a contemporary classical / avant-garde composer. Commemorating Friedrich Goldmann’s 70th anniversary, the CD presents four late key works. In addition to the retail version, British magazine The Wire will distribute the CD to its subscribers. It is the first time The Wire distributes a CD by a single German composer. Being confronted with dull new ambient and unsatisfying classical/electronic “crossover”, there’s a whole new generation ready to experience relevant, deep music away from 4/4 functionality and aesthetic shortcuts. It is just about time to overcome the substitutes and go for the deep end. Thus Goldmann’s music with its clarity, inventiveness and deep appeal becomes increasingly more relevant for the electronic community.
Friedrich Goldmann, who passed away in 2009, was one of Germany’s most distinct composers. His works were commissioned and performed by leading interpreters, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, Pierre Boulez, Ensemble Modern, Arditti Quartet and Daniel Barenboim. His music is not only heard at concert halls and festivals worldwide, but was also commissioned for major events like Expo 2000 and the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Fall of the Berlin Wall at the Brandenburg Gate. As a conductor he has recorded CDs with the works of Stockhausen, Henze and Rihm.
Friedrich Goldmann was also the academy professor who taught Paul Frick – now successful with Brandt Brauer Frick in performing techno with the means of a classical ensemble. He is also the father of Macro’s founder Stefan Goldmann. He therefore had influence on two key figures of experimentation at the intersections of classical and electronic music (which may hint at why an electronic music label releases this album).
Tracklisting:
1 Haiku a 6
2 Ensemblekonzert 3
3 Sisyphos zu zweit
4 Wege Gewirr Ausblick

Cascabel Gentz is an ambitious side project of two producers who are always on the run - Los Angeles resident [a]pendics.shuffle and Dilo from Buenos Aires. Since 2009 they get together in the studio and create an individual mix of House, Techno and Minimal spiced with their own vocals and guitar riffs. This very personal and organic mood reflects on the new record “Electric High”. The original tracks are complemented by an excessive remix collection. Gurtz, Alejandro Mosso, Jon McMillion and Jonas Kopp play their part to make this EP a prime example for todays music culture network.

There. Is. Nothing. Better. Than. A. Clear. Blue. Sky. After The Storm. Taken literally, the track listing for Barem's debut LP represents that fleeting moment when nature puts its house in order, when calm and clarity triumph over chaos. Of course it also works perfectly as a metaphor for those fuzzy moments of self-reflection while sprawled on a hotel bed after another mind-blowing night at the controls, or while taking stock of a musical journey that's about to culminate in a debut album for the internationally renowned label that motivated you to start making music in the first place. This is the vinyl version of Barem's debut album, with five specially edited tracks for all vinyl-lovers. Barem has always offered a more laidback counterpoint to the edgy sounds of some of his label mates. His decision to progress in a deeper, percussive direction began with the Kolimar EP (M68) and apart from the dark, ambient intro There, this vibe dominates the first half of the album. Is and Nothing really showcase his skill at concocting instinctive, percussion driven grooves, expressing a natural inner rhythm that exploits the full stereo field. Rich, rounded drum fills puncture the hidden space behind the beats, shimmering reverbs drench the cymbals while the bass lines remain reassuringly fat and familiar, gently hypnotizing as the LP settles into its groove. By the time we reach Better the low pressure is beginning to break. Additional elements gradually make their presence felt as the beats continue to flay and splinter, phasing strings heighten the suspense and a delicate one note riff skips and bounces through spot effects and sprinkled vocal snippets as Barem coolly maintains the growing intrigue.
As if to highlight the evolving nature of the LP, the transition to the more dubbed-out Than goes almost unnoticed as the gentle undertow begins pulling us into more familiar Minus territory. Disorienting percussive delays start jarring into the void, indiscernible vocal slurs reverberate out into the corners of the room and warm, acidic bleeps start tapping at the doors of perception. By the time we reach A, the psychedelics have well and truly kicked in. The percussive onslaught of the preceding tracks gives way to a deeper, mystical atmosphere driven by shakers and hats and offset with cavernous delays and detuned pads that warp and envelope the collective consciousness in the orange-red glow of some ancient tribal ritual. Having broken through to the other side, the eye of the storm is upon us. The last four tracks are all about the future. Clear gives ground to an abstract, subsonic groove that hisses and crackles like the dying embers of the night. A twisting motif then emerges from the flames rolling back and forth across the dance floor like some great bird stretching its wings before taking flight. Circling higher and higher, it is reduced to a distant speck before Blue - one of the definite standout tracks on the album - embarks on a spiral dive that represents Barem's new unity of sound in one magic bullet. With an audacious swoop it scatters the storm clouds, fusing together all the contrasting aspects of his repertoire that make the album such an intoxicating journey. Sky then announces the final ascent with a long, seductive intro that crystallizes into an elegant melody, while the throbbing bass line generates another ecstatic rush of dark energy. And then the clouds part, the sun breaks through and we're left with the sensation of After The Storm: after the turbulence and the tumult, we're greeted with tribal rhythms, muffled brass section and superb fretless bass riff all benefitting from a shift in 6/8 blues time signature that gives the album finale a fittingly reflective sensation - what Barem himself describes as that feeling of beauty when the dust is gone and everything is finally clear.

10 releases strong, Poker Flat Digital has become an important wing of Steve Bug's acclaimed, cutting-edge label. Determined to keep quality levels as high as ever and offer yet more choice to the label's fans, a heavyweight cast starred in this latest chapter of the Poker Flat story.
This special 12'' release gathers 4 of the highlights from the label's catalogue so far.
First up to the controls is NYC new kid of the block MANIK. He gives us ‚Pure Liquid' in a freaked out wild-pitch affair 2011 style! His fresh production and new ideas give this a real modern feel, while the arrangement and raw drums keep it heavy for the club.
Daryl Stay's ‚My Groove' gets the Vincenzo treatment in this classic-vibed killer. Tough, pumping drums open alongside a soaring synth layer that builds into a rave siren of monstrous proportions!!
Jay Tripwire presents his ‚8 Channels' project with ‚Control'. Its a deliciously stripped piece of future house. Bouncing, shaking and snaking, the freaked out vocal stands out loud and proud in this addictive number.
Finally the veteran skills of Russ Gabriel bring a twisted modern acid jam to the table with ‚Prey Tell'. Sneaky, typically freaky synth lines intertwine amongst jackin drums and subtly building arrangements!
Tracklisting:
A1. M A N I K: Pure Liquid
A2. Daryl Stay: My Groove (Vincenzo Remix)

B2. Russ Gabriel: Prey Tell

Niko Schwind, Channel X, - Back from the Bar
2
Niko Schwind, Channel X, - Don't Turn the Lights On
3
Niko Schwind, Oliver Koletzki, - Master of Ceremony
4
Niko Schwind, Fran, - Good Morning
A1. Back from the Bar (feat. Channel X), DEKN60900282 A2. Don't Turn the Lights On (feat. Channel X), DEKN60900283 B1. Master of Ceremony (feat. Oliver Koletzki), DEKN60900285 B2. Good Morning (feat. Fran), DEKN60900277
And here it is: the second vinyl EP of Niko Schwind's album "Good Morning Midnight". It features some of the unique tracks that Niko has created together with some of Berlin's hottest production talents. On the A side are two tracks that feature the clicky tech-house boys that are Channel X, where things kick off with "Back from the Bar". It sounds as the title suggests: a little wobbly, a little drunk, a little crazy, but also pretty magic. Quite clearly this is an homage to one of Berlin's not-to-be-forgotten clubs that is unfortunately history now. But things continue on here at least with "Don't Turn the Lights On", a more straightforward dancefloor track, with a trumpet as the main protagonist. This is one of those tracks that keeps leading up to a real arms-in-the-air-moment if it wasn't so damn housy at the same time. On the flip the magical connection between Niko and label daddy Oliver Koletzki can be heard on "Master of Ceremony", a chopped-up house track with epic dimensions. When things get to the piano breakdown, they get very musical and colossal before dropping back into a great house track. The stark contrast between the piano melody and the groove on this really make it. Last but not least then, the original album opener "Good Morning" that features the singing of Fran. It works great as a great album opener, but also perfectly as a slower and more thoughtful addition to a great EP.

Non Exclusives
The second release from south London based LV on 2nd Drop, but this one is a little different, you might say more international. Basking in the afterglow of their much hyped Kwaito inspired bomb, Boomslang on Hyperdub last year, the LV trio stick the brakes on and crank up the soulful vibes for this release. With well established roots in South Africa, a recording session at the Red Bull studios in Cape Town saw LV record a number of vocal collaborations with the honeyed-voiced Zaki Ibrahim. Zaki's Canadian and Burmese heritage not provides her with striking looks but also politically charged ammunition for her lyrics. The third angle of this collaboration is a young band from leafy environs of Oxford. After discovering Message to Bears on YouTube trying to make more dubstep / electronic music, 2nd Drop saw the opportunity to link the disparate groups together. Explode was created, with M2B providing lush piano motifs and subtle strings. So, with such great music and beautiful vocals, we had a hard time limiting our remix options! 1st up
is the mysterious Mothy with his Implosion redux. Sounding like Mount Kimbe on Novocaine, the original is dubbed, filtered and squeezed into a cerebral paste.

DJ Rum brings more than most to his remix duties, here displacing the vocal pacing and adding luscious strings, creating something really special. Lastly, dragged kicking and screaming out of 10 years of retirement, Charlie Dark, former Attica Blues-man, urban poet, and seasoned DJ, brings together a
deep and rolling Theo Parrish-esque remix.

For more than a year, Third Ear and Benjamin have been selecting tracks for this ep and for an album to follow later in the year. The wait was largely due to the track No Kicks, which initially used a Chuck D acapella, titled No. When Third Ear couldn’t get clearance for the acapella, we suggested to Benjamin that we try and think of another poet/rapper who could produce an original lyric inspired by Chuck D’s flow. After some thought we suggested Diamondancer, who was inspired to write the lyric she performs here. Stay Hungry Stay Foolish and Acidic Sun are delicious and dreamy, with a fat pulsing groove. Hello Ammmerika is more urgent, pushing the groove constantly.

To remain a discerning platform for underground artists with integrity is easier said than done in today’s music market. Alphahouse vows never to forget its roots in the afterhours basements from whence it came. In that spirit, we would like to welcome two up-and-coming Italians to the family with release number twenty.Good friends Alessandro Stefanio aka Buck, and Andrea Santoro aka Santorini, both from Puglia, proudly represent the new school of deep thinking producers from a country not generally known for such restraint. If you’ve been following Santorini or Buck’s output of late, you’ll know that Italy is more than just the land of shuffled techno.. There is a deeper music movement in the country, and these guys are two of the best. Santorini’s ‘RVRB’ is an ethereal blues track at heart, driving deep into the night with equal parts Mike Ink funk and DBX bleep. Buck takes a more subtle and melodic approach with ‘Shelter’, crafting a bewitching tale all too familiar to those who ever thought they had found their angel. Finally Alphahouse mastermind Butane mashes everything together and creates a pumping remix that warns of the intoxicating glamour of nightlife, only to wake up to the reality that the music business is not what it had seemed. Three variations on a single theme from three musicians who offer music from the heart, everyone with both feet solidly in the underground.

Red Rack'em, - Feel My Tears

Red Rack'em, - Courting
3
Red Rack'em, - How We Do
2010 ended with a bang for both Berman and Bergerac with the release of the instant classic first single How I Program, which received massive support from a wide range of DJs including Gilles Peterson, Kyle Hall, The Revenge, Move D and Mike Huckaby. This was quickly followed by the debut Red Rack?em album The Early Years, which was awarded album of the month in De:Bug Magazine and received universal praise from both the press and DJs alike. Since the album was released in November 2010, Danny has been hard at work touring the world and preparing the follow up single Feel My Tears. He?s currently on a sabbatical in Berlin and it?s the perfect backdrop for his current musical direction. The Bergerac label artwork features bespoke illustrations from German artist Silke Eiselt of all the houses Danny has lived in chronologically. The A side Feel My Tears is a warehouse burner on many levels. Perfect for those summer evenings of drug loneliness. B1 Courting is a big room post-post-dustep UK garage-house stomper with a very loud snare drum. The last track on the record How We Do is a strange jazz techno house hybrid, taken from the Early Years album and now available on vinyl due to popular demand.

Duke & Sill are new producers that we will sure hear more of, this offering “Rue Saint Bernard” takes you back in time and brings you to the future, this electro tech soul is a classic in the making, smooth deep and with lots of soul. Common People produced by one of our up and coming producers Volta Cab, the title may take you by surprise “Queen of Elephants” we wanted to release the original before the remixes so that we hope you would love the song as we do, deep, memorable and great keyboard melodies, the vibe is a feel good one. B/W Mark & Paul are no strangers to dance music the production team of Mark Thomas Bell & Paul Birchall has produced for us Neuvo Ritmo a classic piano groove over a low key aggressive beat, a sure peek time track for those who dare. Urban Crew’s “Go” was originally presented by Chez Damier “The Gathering “ some years back we have decided to add this with the unplugged project to complete this classic theme, inspiring to say the least.

This after a DJ W!LD’s gig in Berlin that Shaun Reeves and him met. After a celebrated after-hour over drinks and drugs they decided to get to the studio to see what happen. Finally, this hypnotic and sensual track went out, tinted by melancholy : they wish they didn’t miss u. Then, each of them requested a remix to their closest mates : Chris Carrier for the French side, who delivers his techy and groovy recipe of a good track, so well-inspired by the miss u idea that he did two remixes (one will be only digital released). For the Berlin side, half of the Visionquest team (Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtis) made a remix not only for the dance floor, but also for the body, soul…and brain.

A1 Volta Cab & The Legendary 1979 Orchestra The Ideal Now: This track planted the idea for a collaborative release. A superb house track for the summer months, what a bomb! The track has an amazing groove, melodic keys and heavy percussion. Feel good stuff!. A2 Volta Cab Sakura: Volta Cab at his best, a chilled out deep house. Huge atmosphere on this one, deep bass and gentle percussion gives a slow groove. B1 The Legendary 1979 Orchestra Juicy Warmth: This is the track that attracted us to 1979. Chopped samples, nice atmosphere and a killer bass just how we like it! B2 Volta Cab In The Middle Of The Night: Volta rounds up the release with a slow and sexy, deep house beat. A big vocal sample, beautiful brass and tender percussion. KILLER!

Luke Hess and Motorcitysoul on the same ep different labels! Priceless. Track 1: “ Come” – This track is an inviting and classic style Detroit techno track written to lead people to the dance floor ! Everyone enjoys invitation and acceptance . We have power in our speech and in our actions. Why not use this power to encourage-age, love, and grow the community around us. Track 2 : “Unity” – Sounds of metal, welding, and forming were recorded and used in this track to associate the unification of materials with the unification of dynamic sound. Similarly, humanity works best with one another for a common purpose when we are united in love and in purpose. Let us serve others above serving ourselves. Finale Sessions is excited to be apart of this alliance with Luke Hess and DeepLabs. We are proud to present to you Cocoon Club masters Motorcitysoul This is part one to a series of releases Finale Sessions and DeepLabs have planned for the 2011 season. This release is a calling to all labels to unite and bring back that love we once had. Motorcitysoul is a mainstay on Finale Sessions and we are happy to have them back with two new releases .Track 1: “Rosenau” is a fantastic flashback to what true deep house should sound like with classic drum programming and an array of claps and snare hits that make the track move. Track 2: “Ostpark”is peak time classic with a strong synth appeal that will get the dance floor moving. These songs are not your prototype Motorcitysoul songs and we are thankful that we can share with you.

Following the soothing 'Landscapes Of The Future' compilation, featuring selected ambient works by Argentina's ?nest (Jonas Kopp, Gustavo Lamas, Leonel Castillo...) GREENER RECORDS is proud to present its ?rst split EP, with label boss ANDRES ZACCO and brother in soul FRANCO CINELLI. The Greener 12" releases come out on vinyl only, for the simple reason that they are speci?cally made for DJs, and this is exactly what this record is about. On the A side,ANDRES ZACCO devellops his ever expanding signature Techno sound. 'After That' is a lyrical incendiary device, which engraves Andres' production deeper in history. FRANCO CINELLI cuts the B side with 'Pattern 02 ', a magni?ciently low-layered track. Preview this one loud on a sturdy system! This is an ultimate utensil, to be arranged and rearranged within a set, highly reminiscent of some late '90s / early '00s minimalism. As we said in the beginning, this is a true DJ's phonograph, on which both sides can be dropped and again at different moments of a set.

Interesting new label bringing you explosive jazz versions of two classic Dance tracks! Side X: Dumb Machine’s version of Theo Parrish’s Falling Up is based on the Carl Craig version of the track rather than the version recorded by Theo. Carl’s version, released in 2005, was one of the biggest dance hits of the 2000s and is now a recognised classic. Theo’s recording is still regarded by many as one of his signature tracks. Both Theo’s and Carl’s versions are instrumentals. Dumb Machines have introduced words. The word ‘falling’ is intoned throughout the track and the second stanza from Louis Macneice’s poem Snow is recited. Side Y: Written by Tori Amos. Dumb Machine’s version is based on the Armand van Helden remix. He created an irresistible dance groove, selected a few choice vocal samples, which became part of the clubber’s lexicon, to create one of the biggest dance records of the 90s. Dumb Machines hav e gone back to Tori Amos’ lyric, taken various lines from the lyric and cut and pasted them together. Pretty sensational first releases of this Third Ear sublabel!

After a short hiatus, the highly sought after Hot Natured Re Rubs Series is back. Forth in the series features four great re-edit’s by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Miguel Campbell and Richy Ahmed & S.A.S. Richy and SAS open the proceedings with a dirty ass slice of downtown funk and street hip hop, Lee Foss (Modern Amusement) slows the pace down and get’s stuck in to a sick 80’s jam. On the flip and Jamie Jones delivers a perfect disco summer groove, whilst Miguel Campbell delivers another 80’s inspired killer! It’s gonna be one hot summer at Hot Natured Mansions…

"It’s an exciting time for Idle Hands, as the fledgling label mutates into a many headed musical beast. After the Bristol record shop Rooted Records sold its last chunk of wax late last year, Idle boss Chris Farrell has carried the torch and opened the Idle Hands store on Stokes Croft in Bristol city centre. Just as the shop highlights Idle Hands’ dedication to its hometown, this latest release on the label marks the first time the music has come from outside the city limits. Szare will probably not be a name familiar to many, having covertly established himself on the lauded Horizontal Ground label, basking in the stamped white label anonymity of deep, troublesome 4/4. Now with this release and his Syndrom Z label, the producer steps just a little into the light to expose his unique abstractions on swung techno. ‘Volya’ ploughs a sparse and percussive furrow, while ‘Action Five’ boasts a wistful, dreamlike melodic bent to leave you with two distinctly different, but equally enthralling cuts."

The partnership between artists John Selway and Dave Turov spans not only across the Atlantic, but it has also resulted in a series of successful colla-borations on their label CSM.The debut release on the Interpull imprint showcases their signature no-nonsense, dance? oriented techno. Expanding on their previous work, “Choo Got It EP” carries with it a modern take of classic in? uences from Chicago, Detroit, and Berlin. This release is marked by just as much stylistic skill as it is by their technical skill: both Selway and Turov put the highest production values possible into their releases. The A-side of the EP, “Choo Got It”, grooves hard with an upbeat rhythm and a bouncing bass line that refuses to let up. Combining funky house elements and a raw driving techno pace, this is the kind of track that either gets you on the dancefloor doesn’t let you off once you hear it go on. The B-side, “Way to my Heart”, presents a darker take on the EP with plentiful bass and restless energy. It provides a cavernous sound that‘s happy to shake your techno cathedral of choice.

There has been a lot of talk about a Nordic house sound lately. Here two guys thatit hit it right on the head! Jonsson/Alter aka Jonsson (Porn Sword Tobacco/Gunnar Jonsson)and Alter (Joel Alter/Jor-el) checking out some abandoned synthesizers Alter found in the streets. A jam session started that has not yet ended. Kontra Musik again manages to pick out some gems. Recommended!

Local Action’s biggest track to date (US iTunes’ #3 dance track of 2010) gets the remix treatment courtesy of none other than Paul Woolford. Simple story behind this single: we woke up one morning to an email from Woolford, one of the most celebrated house producers of the last decade for his work on labels like Cocoon, 20:20 and his own Intimacy imprint, saying he loved ‘Heartbeat’ and wanted to remix it. We sent him the stems, and he sent us this straight back – an impeccably produced overhaul of the original that starts with subtle, skippy additions before flipping full-force into a bottom-heavy synth jam, completely bringing out the original’s dark underbelly. We’re really excited to be releasing it. The original vinyl release of ‘Heartbeat’ didn’t feature the instrumental, so after four months of people asking us where to get it, we thought we’d tuck it on the B-side of this release. The artwork is a twist on white label culture that continues to inspire Local Action, with black and white centre-sticker artwork and a thick, grey sleeve.

Following on from our ludicrous but well-received Sci-Fi covers album ‘From The Stars Volume 1’ in 2010 we thought it was time for a sequel. Cue the hyper-driven ‘From The Stars Volume 2’, an album full of disco and synthy-themed cover versions from obscure and not-so-obscure Science Fiction. We must be out of our interstellar minds. Last time around we went for a fleet of John Carpenter covers on a vinyl EP to promote the mother-ship CD. This time around we thought we would pick a track and go down the remix route. Engage launch and remix control and deploy 'Shooting Star'. Actually the track is a fine slice of 1978 analog burble from the popular Italian RAI cartoon 'Goldrake' (or sometimes called 'Atlas UFO Robot'). The original made it onto vinyl and has been rarity and much bootlegged item ever since. Set time-dials to 2011 and engage. Here we have two slick, Italian producers 'Bottin and Rodion', they both may have (professionally) lost their first name, but they sure both make up for that with their Italian style and extra analog-burbleness. Their original vocoder nugget and dub both feature on the vinyl. For remix action we teleport over to Argentina where 'Toomy Disco' (a pretty spacey name already) delivers us some remix action. Slick grooves, flowing bass guitar and more shine than a sparkly new Saturn 5. Unless an intergalactic born space-plague fuses our brains back to reality, expect more cosmic lunacy in 2012. Get your submissions in now producers.

This series of eps will show the many styles of the label following the footsteps of the Basic Laws series. This is the second part and features ’11 in 89’ a lost unreleased track by Domu –as an homage to one of Neroli’s first and most loved contributors-, Chicago’s Anthony Nicholson tech fusion cut ‘Suntek’, the mysterious Reverend E.C. with the funky gospel ‘So Good’ and Italian deep house sensation Marcello Napoletano with one of his most edgy productions ‘African Keys’.

Right after Neroli’s 10th anniversary second celebration EP we are back with more Ricardo Miranda’s magic! Ricardo and the Latin Soul Brothas serve once again a mix of deep spiritual latin tinged house rhythms. ‘Bomba is Black’, ‘Back from Detroit’ and ‘Mod Pad’ are all hypnotic deep yet organic jams that deserve to be heard! Also included an unreleased extended remix by Glenn Underground of ‘Termino Mi Amor’, a now classic song released by Ricardo on Vega records few years back!

Inspired as much by glam R&B as he is UK garage and dancehall, Deadboy returns to Numbers with HERE - a three track EP that veers ably from his own brand of stylistic, woozy dancefloor heartache to deep gilded disco on the 8 minute plus opener, ‘Wish U Were Here.’ Still chopping vocals and twisting them into his gloriously bittersweet fragmented shapes, this opener finds him playing with his evolutions, suitably adding and subtracting elements, through lush breakdowns, to keep the stomping pace at a constant whilst his bassline bubbles up and down the octaves.

Tokyo Black Star is finally back in full effect on Reincarnation with 2 timeless deep house music gems in collaboration with our very dear friends at Slam Jam. "Sotto Marino" takes on a long ride and is reminiscent to the early 90s beautiful ecstastic italo house music vibe we love so much, while Black Box pays tribute to the real black funk at the now legendary Friday Fever Black Box party at club Suono in Ferrara with resident Djs Pasta Boys and Dj Hendrix making you funk, jack and sweat under the strobe light dancing on a light floor lost in the jacking zone! Produced and mixed by Alex from Tokyo and Isao Kumano for Tokyo Black Star production in Spring 2010.This EP is a tribute to our special friends at Slam Jam, to the maestro Enrico Crivellaro and to our extended music&party family in Italy! Drrtyhaze, - Get Down To Your Body
Redux drop the first various artist e.p in their history and pull together some of their favourite "track-smiths" to deliver a selection of dance floor goodies.
Spanning the globe from London to New York to down under in Melbourne, the music trawled on the first in the series all share the same aim… to make you dance. First up from NYC is Drrtyhaze's "Get Down To Your Body" with it's stomping toms , funky woodblocks and meaty bassline getting straight to the point while uplifting piano chords soar in from above to elevate the vibe. Blurring the gap between house and disco the track builds and drops in all the right places to make this gritty groove feel bright and euphoric whilst still maintaining some energy to get those bodies moving. Next in line is London's Mankind. Dropping a baggy, tripped out rework of Alexander O'neils club hit "Criticize" . Sounding like Maurice Fulton and Toby Tobias having a fight in an airport with it's nasty bassline, delayed drums and jet engine build ups, "Marimba on Toast" is sure to make any party lift off into the atmosphere. Finally we have an exciting collaboration between Pete Herbert and Melbourne's Golden Fleece who simultaneously show their love for belgium beer and the cosmos with 'Inter Stella'. Coming on strong like an impatient Bootsy Collins with it's insistent bass line, funky stuttering guitar licks and Hi energy synths…. this funk hammer is aimed straight at the backside and doesn't let go the whole way through. It's bright perky sound and solid beats are a guaranteed party popper. Designed with one thing in mind these grooves are sure to move your behind making this ep an essential for any discerning DJ's bag.
As always at the House of Redux, the music comes dressed to impress with ltd edition hand screen printed sleeves pleasing the eyes as well as your ears.
Buy or Cry.

Savor Music’s second 12” release follows a rockin’ record by Papol and Ekkohaus. We are proud to present today some raw future classics that will quite simply tear the floor into pieces. Lucas Mari is a hard to catch butterfly that spreads his subtle wings on few carefully selected projects. A resident of the city of Rosario in Argentina, Lucas Mari appeared occasionally on the very fine Argentine label Greener, German imprint Stock 5 and on US labels Adjunct and Airdrop. In true early ‘90s Chicago fashion, the two original cuts feature some serious drum machine action, building a sturdy way to allow for some exquisite chord relief to flourish. Gez Varley, absolutely stunned by listening to the originals, decided to contribute to the release with a simple and hypnotic remix that only he, the one and only G-Man has the recipe for. Also not to be missed is Savor’s digital series, which features DJ tools by Papol and labelheads Cape and Jorge Savoretti…

A1- Hot Beat: Beautiful groove, heavy beat and awesome vocals. What a track to get SWDE back into the swing of things. Absolute killer!! B1 - Closer: Another super track. Heavy beat once it drops, nice deep bass, shuffling percussion and a brilliant vocal sample. B2- No You: The heavy beat theme continues on this track, nice bongo percussion and bass line is equally as heavy as the beat. Cool chopped vocal sample, deep disco house at its very best!!

Norm Talley, - Tell Me
Transmissions sends us four intercepted signals from the mothership hovering over the Motor City primed for the peak-time dancefloor that range from outer space techno trips to alien hip-shaking deep house. Opener “Man on the Moon” sets a steady pace with techno drums and broken beat accents as the extraterrestrial ray guns zap haters and fakers off of the floor. It doesn’t stick around for long, but it’s fair warning to anyone who makes it into “Pulsate”: get ready, the Beatdown is coming. The hustle-house funky rhythm of this number is sure to get some backsides moving down below the ship, and clean, crisp snares and hats make this a propulsive little ditty that customs has to clear into the DJs interstellar luggage. With “Space Travla”, we indeed blast off into spacier territory with a stuttering bass attack and cosmic ray synthesizers that give us a deep, intergalactic vibe suitable for all late-night astral travelers. “Tell Me”(Late Night Creeper Mix) beams its message down to the gyrating crowd with funky toms, earth-shaking bass and a few stray radio signals from the home world thrown into the groove alongside the pealing synths to complete our close encounters of the third kind.
With this, we round off our second voyage into the inner and outward realms of the Motown underground with 4 tracks from yet another underappreciated and understated talent of that city’s top tier. There’s no fads here and no so-hip move faking, just quality in its purest form, and that alone can seem alien back on Earth in these times…

Two of the choicest cuts from CROWDPLEASER's debut album are showcased on this limited Turbo 12". Together We're Strong is a slow-burning, easy-going bass groove with soft keyboard jamming and trippy resonant effects on the top. Sure to appeal to fans of Wagon Repair, Innervisions, and Crosstown Rebels. Nenekri has all the makings of a quirky summer anthem. Warm rhodes keys and a slick dubby bassline provide the foundation for a very fresh vocal performance from Bourkina Faso native Wamian Kaid, one that elevates this to the category of 'real' music. Ed Banger's cosmic wonder-dude Mickey Moonlight provides a fantastic afro-jerk acid remix, already getting huge support from Busy P and Tiga. The self-titled CROWDPLEASER LP is released June 6th on Turbo Recordings.

Uzuri is proud to present this first release of 2011 – a sweet four tracker from a crew you may not have encountered before.Pittsburgh Track Authority is a stateside three-piece comprising Preslav Lefterov, Thomas Cox ( Who is responsible for the excellent “Infinitestatemachine” Blog ) and Adam Ratana – three longtime friends and musical compatriots who have, between them, been submerged in music and music production for many years. Collectively, this project is a rather more recent endeavour, though you wouldn’t necessarily guess that from these accomplished and self-assured tracks.First up, Duskshaped (a collaboration with fellow Pittsburgh native, Nice Rec), lays down the smooth, organic feel of the release, with some serious bass and keys pressure.Vertical Impact is a straight-up head-nodder – slow and moody; crackling drum samples and a gradually mounting set of synths that blow the track up to several times its original size. Not feeling any pressure to pick up the pace, Bloodlands pits crisp tones over shuffling drums and a thick-set bottom end, eventually giving way to an insistent, chanted call to the floor.77B concludes things for this release – once again with some incredibly infectious bass and organ work. Some classy strings complete the picture, over a restrained drum machine workout.‘The First Four’, then, but certainly not the last. You heard it here first.

Aladdin is Gilb'r and Nicolas Ker (singer of Poni Hoax). To follow their 1st album "We Were Strong, So We Got Lost", Versatile will release their first single "The Sun Is On Fire EP". "The Sun Is On Fire" shows how Gilb'r, from Chateau Flight and its house/techno/electro production, can compose a perfect new wave influenced pop song with the haunted voice of Nicolas Ker... For remixes, Bot'Ox and I:Cube were requisitioned. The parisian duo Bot'Ox deliver an impressive epic electro anthem, pushing the thing darker. I:cube remix digs in the psychedelic area with a version far from his latest 12". A remix in the vein of Spaceman 3 or "Madchester" sound. And last but not least, Gilb'r dubbed his own track for a version which makes you feel back in 1969... This psyché/hypnotic /kraut track has the same effect as a psychotropic substance... Don't listen to it too many times, or you may finish dancing naked under the moonlight, lost in a forest...

Room With A View never stands still with another killer 4 tracker. The second installment of the Midnight Circle lullabies serie of 2011 is offering a serious bunch of tracks once again...Strong of his recent remixes for Fred Everything's Lazy Days & The Revenge's Instrument Of Rapture, Art Of Tones is featured here with his ultra classic " The World As I Live It", a track that became a heavy rotation number for people as diverse as Dj Sneak, Jimpster, Joey Negro, Kink or Agoria. The A side comes complete with the Dairmount & Berardi Dub of André Lodemann's Dark Edge, one of the early smash of the Berlin producer. Label honcho Dairmount & his partner Marino Berardi have been quite hot on the remix tip in 2011 by reworking Feygin for Dj Yellow's Composite, Jimpster for Freerange & Audio Soul Project for Fresh Meat. This dub has been a firm favorite of Tim Paris, Peter Kruder, Deetron, Moodymanc or Manik to name a few...On the flipside, Marlow, who is still doing waves with his Put Off EP released end of 2010, drops an amazing Blaxploitation infused rocker called Fonk that found its way in the boxes of MCDE, Osunlade, Charles webster or Dixon. And last but not least, San Francisco's Alland Byallo, today relocated in Berlin and known for his releases on Pokerflat, Liebe Detail or Dirt Crew, blessed us of the solid Stern Soul, a perfect peaktime banger keeping our Soul roots alive.

New one from Kyle Hall on his label Wild Oats. Vocal house track on the A-Side, and a jazzy disco drum cut on the flip.
