The seismic lead track 'Bala' has received rapturous feedback from the likes of Jamie xx, JD Twitch, Martyn, Gilles Peterson & Pearson Sound etc and was made on a laptop in Mr A's kitchen without much knowledge of the software he was using at the time. Prior to 'Bala' he came up with the deeper, headier house workout 'Reggae Drums' on the tour bus, using samples of drums from Reggae songs.

Sardinian born, Berlin based producer Hubble is known to create implicitly ethereal moods. His way to keep people off guard as well as making a musical commitment through long excursion is unique to him. On this EP titles "La Rencontre" (eg. Meeting), he crosses paths with his Romanian friend Tulbure. Somehow managing simultaneous dissonance and concretion; ‘La Rencontre’ could be the soundtrack to both your birth and death. It is a boxer who’s mastered the ring, and punch by punch you realize that it has you beat, but you are happy to wave a white flag and succumb to its presence. The space in which the EP operates in is 360 degrees, tempos throb and the listener is transported to total darkness. Your only wish post listening, will be that you don’t have to come back to the world.
Tulbure's track Condor is more of a mindcluster robotic swing that leaves you muted. While both tracks work together, this release is meant to be two variables of parallel worlds of these talented artists.

At the 2014 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, BACARDI turned the movements of 100,000 wild bats into an exclusive music track. Using bespoke motion tracking technology, the team used the swarming of the bats to trigger unique beats and mix the track's tone and tempo as they flew. This limited Vinyl pressing of 200 copies features three Craig Richards remix's of that track.

The german dj & producer Patrick Zigon is back - with his label Biotop, and with his first vinyl release after 2 years. Located at the beautiful Lake Constance area in Southern
Germany, Patrick Zigon builds with his label a biotope for friendly artists, which is focused on experimental and open-minded electronic music. After the first digital releases, Biotop drops the first vinyl on the market. Patrick Zigon's "Ich See" was released on Biotop's [aLIVE] compilation, and is without doubt one of the brightest moments in the young label-history. "Ich See" is a typical Patrick Zigon track with deep and dubby chords and atmospheres, a huge kick, a heavy bassline and strong, undeniable Detroit-influences. Some call it Neo-Detroit, some call it Detroit-Dub… however you call it - it's deep, dubby and detroitish. Patrick invited two well respected electronic artists to put their mighty skills on the original track. Avantroots & Desolat's Pablo Bolivar remains very close to the original, adding a huge organ-bassline, which makes it even more melodic, deep and housy. Thoughtless Music & Get Physical's Noah Pred completely rebuilds the track. He adds noises and bleeps, and delivers a techy, trippy voyage.

The Berlin based producer and DJ Marquis Hawkes is next to take the baton for Creme Organization with another of his searing EPs. Before now Hawkes, about whom little is known, has released a diverse array of rough and ready, raw and ripping tracks that range from deep house to jacking acid, weird techno to freaky electro on labels like Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and Clone Jack For Daze. First up here is 'Tunnel', a slow and lazy house cut with rubbery bass drums and sharp edged hi hats making for an inviting groove. Starry melodies unfold up top like a classic night sky and deep, spacious synths flesh out the simple but effective track. Next cut 'Prince Among Men' is a much more prickly and synapse firing affair with random hits, stuttering drums and chopped up vocal samples all chucked together into one fierce brew of soulful analogue noise. On the flip, 'Sofa Acid' is riddled with hiccupping 303 lines and proceeds at an inviting mid tempo pace, whilst closer 'October Blues' is a deconstructed house jam with rave whistles, cow bell pings, wooden hits and tinny drums all loosely glued together into a slow and sombre track that oozes a freaky late night moodiness. Overall, then, an EP that fits in perfectly with Creme and is another fine release from the man they call Marquis Hawkes.

Fellow Glaswegian Lee Duncan records as Leeon and debuted in 2012 on the cult Seventh Sign label. Lee will also return under his solo alias later this year.

Detroit legend Terrence Parker lands on Defected with ‘Open Up You Spirit’, featuring four brand new mixes of one of the standout cuts on his ‘Life On The Back 9’ album. Kicking off proceedings is TP’s Deeep Detroit Heat Remix which demonstrates positivity through Merachka’s powerful gospel vocal and an ever-grooving baseline that is mirrored by organ keys, highlighting why Terrence, and Detroit’s underground house scene, is very much in the forefront of soulful house being done the right way. TP’s Bangin Piano Remix does what is says on the tin as classic piano chords and four-to-the-floor house beats build the track to almost cacophonic extreme before dropping into a warm bass synth to start the ride over again. The supremely talent William Burnett makes a belated return to Emotional Response, and this time he's got Brooklyn-based studio pal John Beall in tow. Those who enjoyed the duo's release on the L.I.E.S. white label series should lap up Shimmer. It hits hard from the off, with "Snaker Charmer" delivering a velvet-clad punch to the guts. It's techno right from the top drawer, with darting electronics and drawn out pads riding a thunderous groove. The title track is impressive, too, with surging electronics and throbbing synths riding a techno-tempo groove crafted out of an old hardcore breakbeat. There's some more considered fare on offer, too, with the shimmering ambience of "Hold Me Take Me Leave Me" completing a superb package.

Here's something to stir the loins of any discerning disco DJ: a studio hook-up between veteran producer Felix Dickinson (fresh from his much-loved outing on Futureboogie Recordings), Horse Meat Disco and one-time DFA man (and renowned multi-instrumentalist) Marcus Marr. There's an additional contributor, too: a mystery (presumably big-name) vocalist whose talk-box heavy delivery sits somewhere between Prince, George Clinton and Pharrell. The track itself is something of a summer anthem in the making - an immaculately produced P-Funk jam with the additional benefit of a shuffling, house-friendly groove. No details on how many copies have been pressed; either way, you'd be well advised to snap up a copy while you still can.

Deutsches trio killing it on a new LIES BLK! Sandro Stebnitz, Manito Rotschild, and Dieter Flegel met in the late-nineties in Oldenburg Germany while working on the loading dock of the Leifheit Housewares shipping division. Through their monotonous days of shrink wrapping ovens and loading palettes of stainless steel cookware onto tractor trailers, the trio would often relay tall tales to each other simply to pass the time. One such delusional fantasy was that the trio would one day ditch their warehouse jobs and start a band not unlike their mutual hero, Gary Numan. Their fantasy became somewhat of a reality when Dieter gained access to various pieces of musical equipment when his uncle Hans came upon a sudden and untimely death. Unphased by this tragic event, Dieter rallied up his small group and hit the garage, practicing and recording every evening in hopes of making it, just like Gary did. Here we have on record, the only document of their time in the makeshift studio, a 15 minute electronic jam simply titled "Sketch 1" We hope you enjoy listening to this just as much as Sandro, Manito, and Dieter did making it. Bok & Trago are back with another 12" of deeply textured, hypnotic House music. This time taking a melodic approach on the A-side main mix of "Need This", the London-Amsterdam duo borrow and flips motifs from a classic. "Need This (Radio Mix)" is a piece of slow-burning deep-tech, helicopter blade arps hovering over epic FM bassline and churning percussive guts. A well-deserved melodic reveal at 4 minutes gives way to plenty of weightless beats to keep DJs busy on the loop button - blending perfection ensured. On the flip, the 12" mix strips out the melodies and turns up the percussive heat. After his debut on PoleGroup last year with a track 'Hate' selected for the compilation release Unknown Landscapes - EP 1, Kwartz makes a proper return to the label with Form and Void EP. Hailing from Madrid, DJ and producer Kwartz started his career in 2011 and within fairly a short time he has developed and refined his own hypnotic, dark and enveloping techno. Amongst notable releases to date is his first vinyl EP Fenomen (2013), a joint release with Pole Group artist Exium on their Nheoma imprint. Form and Void EP features two strong originals and two equally powerful remix supports from the label mates and core members of Pole Group, Reeko and Exium. The title track 'Form and Void' kicks off with straight forward 4/4 rhythmic groove that gradually builds up layer by layer in to the darker shade to meet the mysterious break, followed by heavy brooding bass tones slashing through the kick drums, deepening the atmosphere with the hollowing echoes. Reeko's remix elevates the dark mood of original while pumping in even more energy with rolling kick/hat combo and psychedelic swirling chaos of synth that intensifies throughout the entire length of the track. 'Breakage' on the flip side possess much more hardened groove, pounding out the drums packed with blinding force. Exium's remix takes the tension-filled doomsday feel of original to another level and gives a new dimension to the heavy merciless percussion by adding haunting howling echoes that growls like that of ghosts combined with more muted drums and subtle layers of stabs of kicks and effects. Kwartz holds nothing back with Form and Void EP, delving in to the darkest and deepest realm of subterranean pulses that fit perfectly for the dance floor with dimmed light and big sound system.

Machinefunk Veteran ''Eduardo De La Calle'' is bound to make his Planet Rhythm debut with a 4-track analog synth laden voyage into the the more hypnotizing side of electronic music. Opening track ''Alex Blaney Says No Again'' dives heavy into original synthesis and shakey drum/perc combinations for one of the most spiritual PRRUK releases thusfar. The follow up track called ''It's On My Brain''is just as emotive. Eduardo cleverly uses repetitive hats and unclear vocal samples to emphasize on that underwater atmosphere he so well puts together. On the B side we find ''I Love You" which thrives on wonderful pads and uplifting melodies which together, create a very uneasy, yet euphoric vibe. A diverse and damaging three track EP from Bone, exploring and exhibiting Detroit Techno musically, figuratively and spiritually. A1. Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away) A nod to Detroit as an ever-present - a marker by which others are measured, Bone's first track on The Detroit EP, Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away) makes a statement above and beyond just being a fine example the music it refers to. The sumptuous melody that opens the track is accompanied by a substantial yet soft, almost warm, kick, a combination that somehow provides an atmosphere and depth way beyond merely the of the sum of its parts. More rolling percussion and drums are crisply ushered in before the Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away) vocal begins looping over the composition. Linear, straight up loops, grooves and rhythm give a consistent sense of railroad-esque motion atop of an ever-present vein of lush synth and melody. A track that is certainly here to stay. A2. Detroit Is ... Soul With more of an emotional focus than symbolic this time, it's clear this one is from Bone's heart. Detroit Is ... Soul, ducks and weaves in the grey area between house and techno; the initial percussion that is brushed over the kick giving more of a house swing than a techno groove. The on/off, cut-and-dry synth chords contrast with the looser fluidity in Here To Stay (Won't Fade Away), and gives a real sense of intent and desire. The real focal point however is the profound vocal that comes swirling over the top, "Detroit is what I love, Detroit is what I need, Detroit is where I'm from, Detroit's the air I breathe?" No explanation necessary. B. Detroit Is ... Hard Bone rounds off part 1 of his Detroit EP with aplomb. Where the previous two tracks have drawn on the emotional and symbolic significance of Detroit as a place and as an ideal, Detroit Is ... Hard, cuts straight to the chase. Utilizing the same vocal sample as Detroit Is ... Soul, Bone feeds things through the grinder and comes out with a late night dancefloor destroyer that blends Millsian fury and Red Planet mystique with the archetypal Subject Detroit aesthetic. Chaotic arpeggiated melody, indignant claps and breakneck drums and percussion are the chosen company for Bone's words on this flipside to Detroit Is ... Soul. Detroit is ... "Teilstueck" (German for part or segment) is the next excerpt of Jacob Stoy's ongoing attempt to translate his surroundings into music. It's his second EP for Uncanny Valley and is even more multifaceted than his debut "Redenswart" from 2012. With "OMG" you'll get the feeling that something sublime will happen right from the beginning. It's one of those tracks whereby time stands still until a mighty synth-line unfolds in all its glory. "CFM" comes in the same musical vein with a similar and slightly melancholic bass-synth dominating the drumming. By far more cheerful is "MKM". Based on a catchy bass line foundation, Jacob Stoy showcases wonderful synth-effects and sound with the beautifully oscillated pad making the cut. This is House music for machine lovers. The flipside starts with "HIM" and probably the most floor-friendly track on the record. The slowly but steadily rising organ chords prepare thin gs and when the carefully targeted percussion elements come in, it feels like summer will never end. In contrast, "QFL" lives from its mysterious atmosphere and is very good example for Jacob Stoy's preference to use Electronica-like sounds for his House Music. The record is rounded up with "HHM" and a little nod towards past times when he used to play in a Jazz band. With its Delay effects, a fuzzy guitar and a great bass melody it's not far away from Krautrock either. For the artwork Jacob Stoy teams up with fellow student Chris Dietzel.

Vosnos third release features Simone Gatto along with a remix from non other than the dutch artist Orlando Voorn. The Italian Disc Jockey and producer runs his own imprint Out-Er (Out ELECTRONIC Recordings) but was kind enough to share his music on Vosnos Records. On his Moss EP he opens up with The way of life a realy nice off beat dub techno track, which with it´s subtleness, brings a punch to any techno set be it a starter, mid session or end track. Moss gives you an opportunity to EXPLORE minimal house at its best. Simone INVITED Orlando Voorn to interpret The way of life and good on him for doing so! Orlando stays true to the original, which we praise here at Vosnos, and brings it that anthem feel without getting to obvious. It´s a three tracker EP with three totaly different tracks suitable for a majority of sets, house techno and beyond.
