Following their contribution to Y-3's historic return to runway for SS25, Solitary Dancer has collaborated once again with adidas & Yohji Yamamoto's pioneering label for their Fall/Winter 2025 Presentation-- an exploration of contrasts. Light and dark, analog and digital, real and surreal. Building upon the legacy of the recently established Y-3000 imprint, Y-3002 presents FW25's boundary-pushing runway score from the Pavillon Cambon in Paris this past January.

Solitary Dancer compose their first new works in five years for adidas & Yohji Yamamoto's pioneering Y-3 label. Originally featured as the score for Y-3's Spring/Summer 2025 runway presentation at Salle Pleyel in Paris, Y-3001 ushers in a series of artist commissions aimed at defining a new era of sound for the historic brand's return to runway format.

Optimo Trax reaches no. 33, the final number in the series (although reserving the right to return at some point). The last release is a 3 track EP from Montreal’s Solitary Dancer that ends the label’s run with a distinctly non 4/4 feel. We asked Solitary Dancer to say a few words about this EP to which they responded with - "Recordings inspired by archetypes existing within a hypothetical matriarchal society and how that may pertain to our present day reality.”
