Arnaud Rebotini - Death Rides A Horse
A dream collaboration with Dario Argento for the soundtrack of his new film "Occhiali Neri", Maestro Arnaud Rebotini is back on Mannequin Records with a brand new 4-tracks ep "I Drive East". For this new ep, Arnaud started working more on a song form, deeply inspired by his rock'n'roll roots. Having heroes like Suicide or Alien Sex Fiend in mind, he was able to create the perfect link between EBM and Industrial Rock. The final production was orchestrated diving deep into percussive drums and digital synthesizers, a mega hybrid of analog and digital, recalling back our favourite mid-80's productions.

Arnaud Rebotini - The Eastern Pale Christ
12“ RED/YELLOW MARBLED (incl. poster & download) Tracklist: A1) No More Love (No More Hate) A2) Special A A3) A Noise Rose B1) New Territory B2) Italian Sex Drive B3) The Eastern Pale Christ Release Info: Internationally revered, multi-faceted artist Arnaud Rebotini arrives on Veyl with the new EP, 'New Territory'. While venturing into a wide array of musical genres and sonic realms, the release is still unmistakably Rebotini, fueled by infectious electro-body grooves and hypnotizing vocals. From the utterly addictive, pulse pounding allure of 'Special A' to the more industrial techno strains of 'A Noise Rose', Rebotini delivers a myriad of interconnected tracks which traverse fresh auditory landscapes but maintain a common circuitry. The poignant, anthemic lyrics of 'No More Love (No More Hate)' resonates loud and clear while the throbbing, Giallo flaire of 'Italian Sex Drive' sends shivers down the spine. 'The Pale Eastern Christ' injects a haunting atmospheric mood while the title track is irresistible ebmwave that falls perfectly in between the lines for an indelible sound that only the French producer can conjure. Rebotini’s work continues to shatter boundaries and fuse genres while essentially pioneering a category all of his own. 'New Territory' furthers the legend and keeps us begging for more.

Arnaud Rebotini - The Glove And The Whip
Repress! Mannequin Records is elated to welcome a brand new killer release from the legendary French producer Arnaud Rebotini. Whether as one half of Black Strobe or in his own material or just busy receiving a César prize 2018 for best film music, Arnaud Rebotini devotes his career to mindblowing electronic productions. Passionate about analog synthesizers, and with a strong taste for electronic music of a dark and brutal hue, the new EP 'Shiny Black Leather' pushes to the limit his EBM-influenced electro-goth side, making the most doomy goth clubber happy.

TERRITORY: GERMANY/AUSTRIA/SWITZERLAND , RECORD STORE TITLE , DON`T RELEASE BEFORE 13.4. ! Tracklist LP: Mouvement 1 01 The Message and The Messengers (La Noire =110) 02 The Great Preacher (La Noire =110) Mouvement 2 03 Substance Doctrinale (La Noire =130) Mouvement 3 04 Kénose (Free Tempo) 05 I can't feel at home (La Noire = 105) Mouvement 4 06 The struggle is over (La Noire = 126) Bonus track 07 Un mouvement abandonné (La Noire = 105) Fix Me is a the techno symphonic soundtrack of the collaboration between the choreographer Alban Richard and Arnaud Rebotini, dandy of the French electro and César 2018 of the best musical composition for the film 120 beats per minute. Interested by the sound energy, Alban Richard conceives a piece that draws its power in fervor. Eloquent bodies, sermons and slogans, this choreographic, musical and plastic montage is exhilarating. The four performers translate their actions into words: American evangelical sermons, political speeches and feminist hip-hop songs. The light worked on a vibratory mode bathes interpreters and spectators in the same hypnotic halo. Driven by an incessant flow, music and dance interfere each in the sphere of the other and compete with energy to monopolize the eyes and listen to the audience.

House music broke through in 1987, at the same time when AIDS arrived in France with the first contamination peak in gay and drug addict circles. In 1989, the founders of Act-Up Paris knew that both the fight against AIDS and triumphant house music should be joined together. From 1992 to 1995, the period covered by "120 BPM", house reached its most beautiful plateau even though techno was becoming dominant. "120 BPM" is a get-together moment through clubbing, this moment where fears are forgotten by dancing with one's friends, what we called "the chosen family" at Act-Up. Boys and girls dancing in a club where the walls cannot be seen, flooded with simple light. This is their activist recess. Arnaud Rebotini, composing the soundtrack of Robin Campillo's previous film, "Eastern Boys", is a recognized DJ, a composer and a kind man, which is for me the most important quality. Here, his work is marked by restraint of his love for house and after techno. I believe he deliberately withdrew himself in relation to the film's power and the AIDS theme. He accompanies and supports the image on the screen and even his remix of Small Town Boy by Bronski Beat is in a process marked by respect and almost intimidation (even if I would have done it differently). But this record is not nostalgic, it's a modern look at what occurred a long time ago, with the same fascination for synthesizers of that era where the analog was so important. The soundtrack is what balances this film and what justifies such a conceptual title: "120 BPM", the natural rhythm of both house and the heart, the music that kept us going when we were losing hope, the most important musical movement of the last thirty years along with Hip Hop. The movie had its world premiere at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, followed by screenings at other festivals. At Cannes it received critical acclaim and won four awards, including the Grand Prix of the Festival.

For their next release, Zone Records welcome legendary French producer, remixer, singer, songwriter and emblematic musical star Arnaud Rebotini for a fascinating four track EP. Alongside the standout music, the artwork for the EP is a photo of a suitably impressive sculpture of Arnaud that the label have had specially commissioned for the release. Arnaud Rebotini has done it all, from pioneering electronic works to teaming up with chamber orchestras. A real synth wizard and mesmeric live performer who has remixed everyone from Depeche Mode to Nitzer Ebb, Bloc Party to Rammstein, he is an award winning musician who also started the seminal Black Strobe group and has had his music used on a number of films such as The Wolf of Wall Street. As such, from experimental pop to death metal, electro to soundtracks, he has done it all. Now he returns to his good friends at Zone Music for another sterling EP. Opener ‘Danger Zone’ is a frazzled electro house cut with whirring machines, pixelated synths and blasts of bass that are physical and menacing. Muffled robot vocals lend it a dehumanised feel and sheet metal textures and rushing pads all ensure it goes off with a bang. The writhing ‘Freudian Slip’ is a comparatively deeper cut, with sombre chords adding a sense of finality to chattering snares, gurgling bass and loopy kicks. It’s a fulsome track for making people move whilst ‘Seeking Happiness’ is a vocal led jam with punky drums, twanging synths and oodles of attitude in the crashing hits. It’s dark yet uplifting and makes for a nice change of pace to the EP. Lastly, ‘Forza Maradonna’ is a chugging, cosmic disco delight with slick drums and retro-future synths all fleshed out with fat bass, filter sweeps and raining melodies. This is a varied and vital EP that is full of the unique machine made charm that has ensured Arnaud Rebotini is one of the key electronic proponents of his day.
