Having been previously released digitally and on CD back in 2009. We decided RSD 2022 was a great opportunity to release this seminal album on Red Transparent vinyl for the first time. ‘Don’t You Remember The Future’ is the debut artist album from Jamie Jones, peering into the coming apocalypse with a body-shaking, teeth-grinding, tripped out fusion of sound on Crosstown Rebels. There are some talents that remain inconspicuous and then there are some you can’t ignore. Jamie Jones is the latter, quickly rising to superstar status in underground dance circles over recent years. Releases on Crosstown Rebels Hot Creations, Defected, Cocoon, Get Physical and BPitch have catapulted him to become a cult figure and he is widely admired for his true originality. From his debut single ‘Amazon’, to his albums' anthem ‘Summertime’, his unique sound has won him worldwide audiences and this album has been widely anticipated as one to change the face of current house music.

Naples 1982, the earthquake leaves rubble and dismay, unease and misery, smuggling and heroin.
The reconstruction is a shadow that will last more than a decade, it is a shady deal between bureaucrats and
criminals.
Naples is an open construction site and the redemption was long coming. There was the "music-music" of the
Neapolitan Power, which conquers the national limelight, and a dark and marginal enigma called
"VESUWAVE" (especially for those who have not experienced it), that remains so, even after many years.
Naples is not a country for young bands that are not familiar with tradition and "bel canto" while the record
industry inhabits a platonic and incorruptible world beyond the vault of heaven. At that time five Lucanians and
three Neapolitans founded Little Italy, probably a tribute to the homonymous district of New York and inspired
by Talking Heads, Contorsions, Polyrock, B-52's, Konk and Liquid Liquid. They have the freedom to
experiment and smash the stages of the Italian peninsula festivals more attentive to the new waves as well as
participate in some television broadcasts. They basically don’t unnoticed but in spite of the apprenticeship and
the kilometers covered in three years of activity (from 1983 to 1985) all they had the chance to record were a
couple of songs.
Fragments is a compilation made with archived materials that Futuribile Records releases on vinyl after
having discovered and restored old unreleased tapes from back in the day and made available by the band
members themselves. Seven tracks that highlight a collective in continuous transformation and outline
their drivers and abilities.
Little Italy have a horn section that gives them that chromatic vivacity, a typically mutant funk guitar groove,
two fatal and dazed female voices who speak many languages (English, French, Italian) reciting collages of
cryptic texts evoking modernity through no-sense and cultured quotations; a funk thrill in the basslines and
drums solutions that give a nod to the sly disco beat of a specific easy listening, elegant and refined Italo
sound. A super-sophisticated sound with the right dose of fusion, proper New Wave, which in the more New-
Yorker passages recalls the volcanic and sweaty sound of the contemporary and fellow citizens Bisca,
another out-of-the-box band member. The warm Mediterranean wind blowing on some tracks certifies their
origin and the exoticism leads Little Italy to drink from that oasis of escape.
After all, the escape from a world that does not contemplate banality is the synthesis of the 1980s thought.

Helsinki quartet OK:KO releases their third album "Liesu" with We Jazz Records on 15 April. The band, led by drummer/composer Okko Saastamoinen and including saxophonist Jarno Tikka, pianist Toomas Keski-Säntti and bassist Mikael Saastamoinen (of Superpostion & Linda Fredriksson "Juniper") is a scene favourite in Finland and has recently garnered some international attention with their melodic, dynamic and original approach. The OK:KO sound is adventurous yet accessible, and contemporary yet rooted in the lineage of acoustic small group jazz. When listening to OK:KO, you can feel that their influences also come from out of the musical realm. After all, isn't this just how it should be? Making music from your own life. Here, you can tell that the landscape of rural Finland, its poetic, at times even melancholy beauty, is ever present. It's folk song country. But don't be fooled, these guys form a real flesh and blood jazz band. That means that the music just starts when the first note hits, and onwards from there, we're in for a wild ride. Whether punchy like on "Anima", solemn like on "Arvo", or just trekking out there a skiing lane of their own like on "Vanhatie", what you'll get is pure OK:KO. Melodic, interactive, honest and forward-reaching contemporary jazz music. That is something we appreciate – a lot!

Melbourne native Jordan Brando makes his return to the SNF catalogue, proving once again his musical
ambidexterity and far-spanning range of talent.

The period between this release and Brando's SNF debut last March has seen the Aussie producer go from strength to strength, touring around his homeland and New Zealand and playing at large-scale festivals like Pitch Music and Arts. If you thought Moment in Time EP was kaleidoscopic, Vagabond EP gives the word a new meaning, touching base at disco, acid and speed garage.

The A-side showcases Brando's inimitable take on house with meandering funk basslines and skippy drums (Ricardo's Kicks'); classic disco samples and deep bass thumps ('Flux Deluxe'); and earworm acid melodies and whispering cymbals ('Radar').

'Marz' then might take you by surprise - although less so for those accustomed to Jordan's artistic versatility - a warped bassline groans over a garage rhythm, bringing the UK-inspired ruffage before 'UGOT2C' strips things back. Deep rolling drums lend the track a grooveable swing before and blissful breakdown leads to a solid, thumping drop. Finally, it's up to the title track to close proceedings. Let Evanna's syrup-smooth vocals stroke the soul whilst celestial piano tinkles and a blissed-out garage rhythm transport you to another plane.

Vagabond EP drops 17th June 2022 via Shall Not Fade
