CTHI Records is back again after a little pause given by the development of the Jaxx Madicine project started initially by the label founder Parker Madicine and Turbojazz. Through out this time the label has productively been joined by Veezo, italian pianist and producer, for the making of their Distant Classic album and various EP’s and remixes published on many different international labels as Local Talk, Visions Rec, Dirt Crew and Eureka. CTHI is now ready , after the recent Japanese tour as Jaxx Madicine Trio, to be again the front stream for the debut EP of Veezo ‘Monolith’. An 8 tracks EP playing the essential “manifesto" and inspiring heritage of the artist. Raw and dirty grooves made in 12bit res, tape delays and acid Ms20 arps on top of which you’ll appreciate afro elements, warm rhodes and pad chords allowing you to perceive the whole Veezo musical ambient creativity. Two singing tracks - unique featurings by David Shorty and the Technoir Duo - are providing deep house/boogie atmospheres and jazzy spiritual moods. There are various musicians participating into this project leading through bass, flutes and drums that will surely provide you the feeling of an orchestral setting guided and directed by a solo person inducting all those elements through an Akai taperecorder. The result: close to a mid 90’s forbidden cartoon enriched by the cover of the Japanese artist Tokio Aoyama.

Greg Foat's 9th album 'The Mage' joins the dots between the past and future of British jazz. Enlisting the talents of jazz/library/soundtrack legends Duncan Lamont, Art Themen, Ray Russell and Clark Tracey to collaborate with their modern contemporaries Greg Foat, Moses Boyd and Heliocentric's drummer Malcolm Catto to create something undeniably British but outward looking and global. A long time personal ambition for Greg was to work with Trinidadian songstress Kathy Garcia, on 'The Mage', this wish is granted as she joins him to re-imagine the deep Xian masterpiece 'Of my Hands', 45 years after recording it as a young girl. Greg's compositions and arrangements showcase the old and new, downtempo folkscapes, free jazz with notes of hip-hop and soul from the young team flavouring the mix. Featuring Simon Ljungman and Friends as a male choir, Greg's EMS Synthi AKS experiments (made famous by Dr Who) the album is a testament to the versatility and pure musicality of all those involved and Greg Foat's ability to bring artists together to record beautiful, timeless music.

Munich quintet Fazer are set to release their second album 'Nadi' on 12th April 2019. 'Nadi' follows the underground success of their self-released debut 'Mara', which quickly sold out on vinyl and became one of the most streamed jazz records of the year.
Moving freely between composition and improvisation, the band's spacious, organic sound pitches lyrical melodies from guitar and trumpet over double-drummer polyrhythmic grooves and dub-like basslines.
The album title 'Nadi' references a term rooted in traditional Indian medicine. Nadis are channels that connect points of intensity within the body. This reflects the band's feeling while playing of moving as one body. Contrary to the creation of the group's debut album 'Mara', both the writing and recording sessions for 'Nadi' were completed in relatively short periods of time.

Enjoy 3 guys jamming 3 tracks together as Lemonade’s 3rd release, played on 33rpm.
For almost a year now, our main man serving the drinks Arno Lemons has been relocated from Antwerp to Berlin, where he lives and works for OYE Records. After a few months of wack adventures into the rich culture of Berlin's nightlife, Arno got around, made friends and was introduced to some very magical hombres ...
For the next release on his Lemonade imprint, we have to go to a mythical place called Darmstadt. Darmstadt is a city in Germany, literally translated from Belgian-Flemish slang to English as “Drunk city’. According to Mr. Lemons, it would've been impossible to not have great stories made there.
And gladly enough, he was right; the city is sleazy & jazzy as hell, baby.
After the Jazz-storm hit Los Angeles, USA, and bursted into (South) London, UK, it has now struck Germany, right in this little, mysteriously interesting city, in the southern part of the Rhine-Main area.
Meet Triorität: a mesmerising threesome co-responsible for this fresh movement in D-town.
With Gerrit Ebeling on keys and synths, Grégoire Pignède on bass and Alexander Hoffmann on drums, you have no idea where you’ll end up. With amazing self-composed, long duration tracks full of moodswings and jams, it knows how to surprise and catch you with its uplifting drums, dancing tones and dreamy melodies.
The trio started with Gerrit and Alex, who grew up in a musical environment.
As cousins they started jamming on their fathers' drumkit and keyboard since they were little.
In 2012, they met their third companion Grégoire at a party, drinking really bad Gin Fizz out of a plastic bottle.
After this life changing moment, Grégoire joined the duo, which reformed itself into a musical threesome full of crazy adventures. With deep influences from the 70s fusion and disco scene, as well as modern electronic genres like Hip Hop and House, Triorität pursues to push a fresh and new sound which will represent the German city in the upcoming history of jazz, thus enriching the global jazz scene and expand its different varieties of styles within the genre.
It was time Lemonade made some “Priorität”, which it now does with the amazing band called Triorität, all the way from Darmstadt!

Following on from the three highly-acclaimed CoOp Presents 'Selectors Assemble' compilation EPs from the past year, it's now time to focus on some of the individual talents from the ever-evolving movement. As the international foundation grows, we invite aboard the extremely talented Neue Grafik into the fold. French producer, instrumentalist and DJ, Neue Grafik, has been building a strong rep for himself over the past few years, releasing records previously on labels such as Rhythm Section, 22a and Wolf Music. His sound is a hybrid of jazz, house, broken beat and hip hop, all with his unique geographical flavours of African ethnicity, Parisian roots and a love for London thrown into the mix. So to the music - two brand new tracks, 'I Miss Something' and 'Bed Stuy's Mood', complete with remixes from EVM128, Danvers, Xtra Bruk and NameBrandSound (aka label bosses IG Culture & Alex Phountzi) respectively, making this one essential package for the bruk soldiers and beyond.
