Jamie Clarke - Why Do You Feel ft. Yamaho Either Recordings : ‘’Either Recordings presents new mixes of ‘Why Do You Feel feat. Yamaho’. Label boss Jamie Clarke (1 and 2) is joined by from Silverlining (3) and Hiroko Yamamura & Matt Tolfrey (4). Established by Clarke in 2020, mid-pandemic, Either Recordings is label and company of lockdown-inspired, gigging-denied, eclectic musical grasp. Earlier releases feature remixes from Pablo Mateo of Figure, Ryan Crosson of Visionquest and Sahar from Paradiso Records. The label boss and London-based artist Clarke opens the record: (1) The stylus vibrates to a six-minute sequence of bass, Wurlitzer and hypnotic vocals. (2) ‘Jamie’s Shinto Mix’ delivers an electro / string interpretation. (3) Silverlining shifts over to the percussion section, bass carries the listener through fragmenting vocals. (4) Chicago’s Hiroko Yamamura joins with Matt Tolfrey of Leftroom to close with a looping, pulsating minimalist take on the original.’’

Spread across 4-tracks, the producer offers fanciful instrumentation and production while conveying a narrative of preservation for mother nature.
The theme of Mother Land is inspired by one of Nohan’s main interests: nature. In response to ongoing climate change and global environmental degradation, he opted to craft a project that captured the planet's beauty - with a message of sustainability. The EP is a faithful representation of Nohan the producer - packed with his love for the piano, ipnothic synths, and suspended ambient compositions. The project opens with the title track - kickstarting the subtle, yet palpable production rooted in tangible instrumentation. “The world’s on fire… It’s calling out for you and me” are the opening lines from the vocalist, reminding listeners that earth’s fate revolves around us. “Heavenly Sing” presents a more upstart offering, with loose shakers and scintillating keys leading. This more tropical take provides optimism in sound, serving as prose for uplifting introspection in headphones as well as the ADID dancefloor. “The Sun in December” reflects its title - somber piano leads the way through a serene, melancholy soundscape. The EP also includes an ambient take on “Mother Land,” which strips its electronic backing in the intro to draw focus to the words and theme of the project. Noahn makes a perfect fit with this emblematic imprint.

AD 93 is proud to present the new album from Polish composer Wojciech Rusin, due for release on the 4th February 2022. Syphon is the second instalment of an ‘alchemical’ trilogy which started with The Funnel on Akashik records.

The record consists of speculative medieval and renaissance music, imagined composed in the future, where it is reconstructed from the ashes of the past, via incomplete fragments.
"In a future where the old semantic systems don’t apply anymore, what we are left with is some kind of delirium."

The album features 3D printed instruments, multilayered bagpipe chanters, double recorders and other hybrids.
With additional voices of soprano Eden Girma and Emmy Broughton.

Artwork by Wojeciech Rusin and Nicola Tirabasso
Mastered by Rupert Clervaux

Melody As Truth is proud to announce ‘There Up, Behind the Moon’, a collaborative album from Romanian musician Ana Stamp and Jonny Nash. For this collaboration, the pair spent over two years researching, arranging and recording Romanian folklore songs, aiming to give new context to these traditional, forgotten melodies.Throughout the album Ana’s vocals sit in delicate balance with Nash’s signature minimalist arrangements, accompanied with cimbalom, piano, double bass and guitar.

‘Bright Girl’, ‘For You I Am Missing’, ‘On a Mountain Realm’, ‘Sacred Conversations’, ‘Noble Tree’ are arrangements from traditional Romanian “star songs” and carols, usually sung in connection to various rituals that take place throughout the year. ‘Clouds Passing By’ is a cover of a traditional song, covered by Os?oianu Sisters.

In addition the album contains two classical piano compositions by Romanian composer Sigismund Todut?a?’, ’Upwards’ and ‘There Up, Behind The Moon’ to complete the atmosphere. Ana’s contemplative, thoughtfully paced re-interpretation and performance of these pieces reflects feelings of waiting and longing over time.

In describing her first album ‘There Up, Behind The Moon, Ana says “it represents an important element of my connection with Romanian folklore and the country landscape that encompasses many feelings, ranging from longing to joy or melancholy at times. Rituals and traditions are part of our roots that we take with us wherever we go.”
